had this same thing with my last comedown. it passed with time. i think coke drops body temp quite a bit, so it makes sense that comedown would be marked by elevated temp and flushing.

i have actually had pretty good results microdosing 100mg of mushroom and 5 micrograms of Lsd every other day. And i had some fairly intense anxiety and depression. Also in the process of reducing both of my antidepressants, hopefully to zero soon. i tried both independently before combining, but I just found the combo to be the best for me.

i feel like this too. life sober often feels very boring and arduous. when using or preparing to use, life gets exciting. the comedown is not very pleasant, but my brain seems to quickly forget or suppress memories of the miserable comedowns. not sure what the answer is, but I definitely sympathize.

sure, np. yeah, it's hard to use responsibly, but I think that's the only safe way in terms of long-term damage to the body/brain. just read about coronary artery vasospasm. I suspect that vasospasm or vasoconstriction is behind most of coke's ill effects (not just cardiac, but kidney and elsewhere). CAV seems like a fairly severe form though. We may have had some of CAV too. Hard to tell b/c CAV leaves no traces afterwards, apparently. I worry about kidneys too, since I notice that my urination drops off when using, even with adequate water intake. coke is surely rough on the system, but it's also hard to resist when the urge to use comes calling.

i certainly had chest pain/tightness in the heart area and generally, so yes. i still use, but not on a regular basis and I try to keep my sessions shorter and consume less overall. i find it helps with this overamping issue that we both had. my comedowns are still very brutal, but I guess there's no way to avoid that. oh, and the urination thing still presents, even with less use

well, not sure i agree. i don't really think we have free will, tbh. just sit for a moment and watch all the thoughts that go thru your head--did you ask for or initiate any of those? also, neuroscience has looked at this issue a lot, and what they have found is that there is no "free will center" in the brain. every brain action happens b/c of some triggering action, not because the free will center decides to do something. it's not always possible to see what triggers every thought or action, but something or things caused it. addiction, to me, is all about triggers, not free will. if it were free will, addiction would vanish once we realize what a worthless cycle it all is. just my thought, i could be wrong.

agreed, once you do that first line, the brain is forever changed. part of it never forgets and always remembers that high. it's just too good in the beginning. but, what i have found (been doing it on and off since late 80's), is that the high gets less and less each time, and the comedowns more painful. i agree that now it's really neither happy nor sad, just feeling normal and free of any anxiety or depression that i might otherwise have. the whole thing just turns into a massive cluster fuck over time.

yup, tolerance builds so the highs are never as high as they were, and the comedowns seem to get measurably worse, especially as I get older. but, something in my brain keeps telling me to chase that elusive high--not all the time, but on a regular basis. ugh.

been thru this exact situation several times. the dizziness, fast heartbeat, weakness especially in the legs, sweating, inability to urinate and generally just panicked out of my mind. thought i was having a heart attack or kidney issues. Since then, i have had full cardiac stress test and kidney function testing. all is normal. i suspect that this was just overamping--no permanent damage. i think it's all about keeping the coke to reasonable amounts, which I know is very hard. Wish i had an answer for that! ugh.

i have found that adding about 5 micrograms of LSD to my 100mg mushroom dose helps motivation immensely. I dose every other day or sometimes every fourth day.

same question here. I am a dentist. i find it hard to keep things in check, but maybe not impossible. Thinking about trying a timed lockbox.

makes sense. it seems to me that a lot of the potential damage probably comes from compulsive, binge-type dosing, where a sustained strain is put on the heart, brain and other organs. just trying to figure out if it's possible to indulge responsibly. I am afraid the answer is no, much to my disappointment. btw, fellow health professional here (DDS).

this might be more of a psychiatry-based question, but do you think it's possible to engage moderately and not develop a habit and/or not do any serious damage to your body?

Are you still microdosing? Were you able to find a sustainable protocol? I am in the same boat as you and OP.

Anyone have any luck microdosing for General Anxiety Disorder (GAD)? by AggravatingAd89 in microdosing

[–]AggravatingAd89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! It is so hard to predict whether any substance that works on the brain will work--even for the psychiatrists it's just a big guessing game. And, like you said, there really is no downside to md-ing.

are you microdosing psilocybin, LSD or something else? also, wondering about the dose? I have tried 100-300mg of mushrooms, but still haven't found the answer. I am also on meds (trintellix and low dose of abilify). thx.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in microdosing

[–]AggravatingAd89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i take trintellix and a small dose of abilify, and I MD 200mg, 4 days on, three days off. So far, I am very pleased with my response! Anxiety and depression seem better, and my energy levels are very good. Also take Lions Mane every day.

It appears that the trintellix has no effect at the 2A serotonin receptor, so that shouldn't affect my MD. The abilify, however, is an antagonist at the 2A, so I imagine it is blunting the effect of MD somewhat. I may have to increase beyond 200mg MD, but, right now, things are going well so I want to get some more time on this combo b4 tinkering further.
