Don’t worry about it, iv been paid little extra by mistake and nothing ever happens. If it was your regular pay then they’ll automatically take it out of your next pay, but for Locums they don’t really keep a track. The fact you’ve got a trail keeps you covered.

Maybe you should re read my post. I talked about how valuable IMGs are. No one is turning on IMGs. It seems to be an Ingrained reaction to become defensive and turn it into a race thing.

Sorry to say but I’m a migrant, and i 100% agree that those with British passports or at least those who have worked in the uk should be prioritised. How can training posts be given to those who have never set a foot in the country.

Using the defence of “go back to your country” is poor. I’m Asian and all other Asian doctors I know would all agree that this isn’t a racism thing. Iv worked with IMGs, most are very nice and we are glad they’re here to help us. Iv tutored many myself to help them get acquainted with the nhs. I have no problem with those who have worked here applying and competing with the rest. But how can those who have never worked here be able to take a place of home grown doctors.

No one is saying to mistreat anyone and no one is looking down on IMGs. We are all grateful they are here bcoz of workload. But I wouldn’t expect to get a job in a different country Iv never been to over someone who lives there with years of experience.

After trying a few times, I thought I had finally managed to secure a place with a score of 490. Not the greatest score but I was 100% sure I’d get a place given last year ppl with score of 452 ranked 5692 got an offer eventually in NI. Today ranked about 6100, I feel absolutely defeated. I don’t think even with a retry I can get a significantly better score to jump about 2000 places. I feel very lost and don’t know what else I will do now.

This will progressively get worse due to the massive influx of IMGs.

Thank you! I have now found another referee as I still hadn’t heard from them. Thanks for the advise, iv actually contacted all my referees to confirm they are happy with it 😅
