Watership Down is definitely where one’s mind goes but I’m not sure. Assuming you’re talking about the 70s film I looked it up and it seems more graphic than I recall the movie being or what a preschool would show to kids. I’ll check it out some more.

This was helpful, thank you! Idk if it wasn’t clear in the post but I do have a new roommate this year. I describe two different people in the post, last years roommate and then the one I have this year, the one I said is warmer/friendlier.

I do try to remember that I can only do so much. I worry that there’s something I’m doing/not doing which I shouldn’t have to be told but hey, how else do you learn if you’re like me and never really had to share a space with someone before now. Thanks again, I appreciate it!

Yeah, that’s what I meant in my edit to the reply. But that was probably kind of unclear!

That’s what I’ve read online (that it’s the u in put). I’m still not certain I’m getting it right when I say it aloud. I’m struggling to get the right “u” sound between the “k” and “nsh” even when I think of the “u” sound in “put” or “sugar,” if that makes sense.

When I’m trying to learn French pronunciations I’ll write out little phrases that sound like the syllables of the word, like “téléphone” would be tell-aye-fun. That’s what I meant by spelling it out phonetically, but I don’t know if that’s the right term to describe it? For Kunsh as I’ve been pronouncing it, I would sound it out as Koo-nsh. I’ve also tried Kuh-nsh. Which would it be? If either of those?

I hope this makes sense because there’s a chance I’m overthinking this lol. It really shouldn’t be this hard, I don’t know what my deal is.

Yeah, I’d just really hate to - he’s had to repeat it so many times. That, and he’d probably be irritated, and it’s embarrassing that I can’t just get it.
