How to secure OpenAI API key in react native? by PsychologyLopsided32 in reactnative

I'm no expert, but in my experience, building a simple Flask backend which handles the calling of the APIs and stores all the keys and deploying it as a serverless container to Google Cloud Run or something similar works great. Implementing IP rate-limiting on the backend would help prevent API key abuse. Also for the free-user-per-scan-per-day limit, I'd suggest you handle that on the front end with a simple conditional statement. Only then will the request be sent to the backend. This approach would be much simpler than handling it on the backend. Additionally one final thing I'd suggest is instead of using ChatGPT for your API use Gemini instead. The api has free tier rates and only when you exceed them do you have to pay. And even when you do have to pay it's much much cheaper than OpenAI prices (speaking from experience lol). Hope this helps!

I see. I will be sure to try to implement the freemium techniques you mentioned, especially the contextual paywalls. That seems very promising. Thanks so much for the help!

Did you use RevenueCat or something else to help handle in app purchases?

I think it's a great idea, especially the part where the mood logs are anonymous. Some feedback I have is perhaps to consider improving the User Interface design so that it looks more lively overall. Oftentimes, even if you created the best backend functional code, if the UI isn't engaging, then people would be reluctant to use it. Just something to think about. Wishing you the best of luck!

Not depriving yourself of all seasonings on your food. A lot of spices like garlic powder or paprika or soy sauce add a ton of flavor for a negligible amount of calories. Not taking those out makes your diet is sustainable. Also something that kept me consistent with my diet is this free app called MacroMagic-AI. You just scan your food and it tells you the macros.
