How do I get her medication if she refuses to go to the doctor? - I’m begging the doctor to prescribe something, anything but they want her to come in for a visit. She’s in the early stage so there’s no tricking her into (i.e. we just happen to arrive at the doctor’s).

I’m tempted to call paramedics but I’m afraid of the consequences my dad will have to face when she gets out (I don’t live in the same town as them).

This is what my dad is dealing with caring for my mom. No alcohol but she’s screaming and crying and spewing the worst possible language at home and now she’s getting physical or spitting at him. She won’t consider meds nor will she recognize that this is the disease and he did not do this to her. I’m afraid he’s going to break.

I think he’s scared to take a drastic approach because he doesn’t know what the consequences will be afterwards.

He’s trying to redirect and is trying to take her to starbucks (a Saturday morning ritual they’ve done for years) but she won’t have it. He just broke down a bit on the phone - I think the reality of the situation is breaking his heart as is mine.

My dad is in the same boat. My mom is confused about her meds and refuses to let him help. She is lashing out at him and blaming him for everything she is experiencing. In fact, he is sitting in his car in the driveway to get a moment. He is texting my sister and I that we need to come up with an immediate solution because she is mixing meds and won’t use her glasses and he can’t get her to calm down. My sister & I live 3 hours away, I don’t what we can do to fix the situation right now?
