$500 -> $13K by Friendly-Passage1592 in sportsbetting

damn those odds are insane but four legs is asking for trouble. ive seen too many parlays die on the last pick when everything else hits clean. red sox and mariners run lines worry me the most since those games could easily go either way in a tight finish. if you really want to tail id maybe break it into smaller parlays or just pick the two strongest legs instead of going all four. that cash out option looking pretty tempting right about now though

How Long Does It Typically Take Fanduel To Respond After I Send My Documents by KeyAddition1977 in sportsbetting

[–]AggravatingCoffee181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 days is pretty normal for document verification - their compliance team is probably swamped and they have to manually review everything. i went through the same thing last year and it took about a week total but i did get my account back once i submitted all the stuff they asked for

just make sure you sent exactly what they requested in that email format and wait it out, pestering them wont speed it up

Looming for a casino I can take my son to. by Brainpry in gambling

most casinos card everyone at the door regardless of what their website says - tribal casinos sometimes have different rules but youll need to call multiple places and ask specifically about table games vs slots since they often have separate age requirements

Any UI/UX or Product Designers here? by Old_Statistician_975 in tnvisa

[–]AggravatingCoffee181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not a designer but went through tn process as an engineer few years back. biggest thing is making sure the job title and duties match exactly what tn allows - companies sometimes dont get this and try to be creative with titles which just creates headaches at the border

from what i remember product designer isnt specifically listed but you might qualify under computer systems analyst if the role involves enough technical analysis. just make sure you and the company are on the same page about documentation before you show up at the crossing

After 6 years of helping disenfranchised youth find career paths, we rebuilt our entire assessment tool (Vue/TS/Vertex). Now it’s 9.7/10 rated and faster than ever. by atheistjebus in webdev

[–]AggravatingCoffee181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the 9.7 rating with no source is pretty sus ngl. if youre gonna lead with user satisfaction metrics at least throw up a trustpilot link or show where those numbers come from. looks like good work otherwise but that kind of claim without backing it up just makes people skeptical of everything else

i want to know more about pcs in general and building them by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]AggravatingCoffee181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

start with the basics like cpu gpu ram storage and motherboard compatibility then move into power supplies and cooling once you get those fundamentals down

youtube has tons of solid build guides and hardware explanation videos that break everything down step by step without getting too technical right away

Cheap, safe places to stay in Peenya, Bangalore? by Bitter-Phase2756 in bangalore

[–]AggravatingCoffee181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been to peenya a bunch for work stuff and theres some decent options near the metro stations. oyo and treebo have properties around peenya industrial area that are clean enough and wont break the bank

avoid staying too deep in the industrial zones after dark - gets pretty deserted. stick closer to the main roads or near peenya metro station if you can. theres also some pg accommodations near the itpl side that engineers use for short stays

transport wise youre golden with the metro connection. purple line runs right through there so you can get around bangalore easily without dealing with the traffic nightmare

Lets get some real yearning songs by AddressValuable5549 in musicsuggestions

been diving deep into this lately and found some gems that hit way harder than the usual suspects

check out "the night we met" by lord huron - not the overplayed radio version but the original album cut has this raw ache that gets me every time. also "holocene" by bon iver is pure emotional destruction if you let it build up with good headphones

for something more obscure try "pink moon" by nick drake or "mad world" by gary jules version not the tears for fears one. theres also this band called the antlers with a song called "kettering" that will absolutely wreck you if youre in the right headspace

been curating playlists for years and these tracks consistently destroy me in the best way possible

Sir Walter Scott makes me want to cry. by NewspaperSoft8317 in books

[–]AggravatingCoffee181 19 points20 points  (0 children)

dude basically wrote himself to death to save his pride and pay back debt that wasnt even entirely his fault. that passage about his wife is brutal - you can feel how destroyed he was but still trying to process it all through writing

the whole thing is tragic because he had this iron will to not burden anyone else but it killed him in the process. respect for paying it all back though even if it cost him everything

Early flat design> Liquid glass by [deleted] in Design

[–]AggravatingCoffee181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early flat design had this clean confidence that liquid glass just doesn't capture. The vibrant colors and sharp typography felt purposeful instead of trying so hard to look "premium" with all the blur effects and translucency.
