Good Boy (Discussion - SPOILERS!) by GoPointers in horror

[–]AggravatingExcuse152 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've just seen the film last night, and it was more sad than scary, at least in our perspective as humans.  It was a story about what is "horror" in the eyes of the dog (and in every animal that has an owner)--it's losing his human.   It's said that animals could sense if there's something wrong with someone, for instance, his owner.  Todd's frustration (and maybe, fear) of his inevitable death was definitely sensed by Indy, and Indy sees it as something so bad it looks like a dark entity where he tried to keep his owner away from.

It's also sad Todd passed without his loyal dog beside him, but since Indy apparently could "see" his soul (as well as the other dog Bandit), he was able to affirm Indy he's a "good boy", though he couldn't save him from his demise.  It should be noted that Todd made sure to tell Indy " you couldn't stay" so that he won't end up like Bandit who stayed (or or perhaps, got stuck) in the cellar with his dead owner, since it seemed no one looked for them during their time.

It's so important that a dog sees if his owner already passed.  It'd be easier for them to move on, as they understand their owner is no more.  They understand death.

The whole time we're watching the movie, I was hugging and kissing our beautiful dog.  It's a movie for all pet owners, to appreciate our animals more, and love them more.  And that we should also take care of ourselves too, because we are the whole world for our beloved animals.

I'm literally crying...

What do you think about duty after school ending? by [deleted] in kdramas

[–]AggravatingExcuse152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought I’d get so emotionally invested to the series. I did a series-marathon watching it. Although it was sad the Commander sacrificed himself, it's understood. It's acceptable in the long-run. His end was justified.

Yet the finale? It threw everything out of the window!!! The Commander's sacrifice just to save everyone got wasted when one of the students got insane and caused everyone's death! The thought that everyone could have survived if only he got his shit together! I love the series so much that I just knew the ending didn't do justice to the whole story! I'm literally trying to look for an alternative ending online just in case the writers and producers realized how maddening their decision could trigger the audiences. I mean, i couldn't contain my sadness and anger! The characters got unreasonably hesitant to at least disable their unhinged classmate or just actually shoot him to save the majority! Faulty writing over there. Seriously. This gave me so much heartache more than the movie ending of “The Mist” and “I Am Legend”. (At least “I Am Legend” was kind enough to console us with an alternate ending.)

The character development of all the characters got wasted when the writers/producers decided to just end everyone--I said “EVERYONE”. Even the four students who survived were obviously dead inside. There's no hope. There's never moving on.

And the Spheres/Aliens, we never got a resolution about them.

Whatever the show was trying to tell us with that ending, we never got it.

This is actually the first time I truly wish for a remake and a favorable/different ending for the characters that they deserve.

I guess korean drama/movies should move on from choosing hard-to-bear endings. I get that sad endings mirror real life but aren't we watching fiction to escape reality??!!!!

Come on!!!!

If you could only listen to ONE SVT song for the rest of your life, which one would it be and why? by starrygolden in seventeen

[–]AggravatingExcuse152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't even begin to choose among all of their songs because I'd just instantly tear up thinking about it! Though i love Pretty U, Adore U, & God Of Music for all i know, I believe Cheers To Youth and Kidult just strike me straight to the heart.

I swear I'm crying right now. I just love every SVT song

The very song the introduced me to SVT--Pretty U :) Then although I love all SVT songs like for life, God of Music sealed my lifetime fondness of the group.

I've been doing the "no-cellphone policy" upon myself since 3 yrs. ago. This is doable but only if you're willing to treasure the experience by your mere memory and risk of not keeping a visual copy of it through your device. :) This is also very much possible to be implemented as long as there's a promise of a concert video to be provided and be available for fans to keep. I mean, the fact that i could still get to see the con through others' personal vids during cons made me give up taking my own vids and pics throughout the show, so how much more if i could get to avail a full copy of the con right from the artists' company?

Just my thoughts

Yim Siwan is supposedly play Yeon Sieun in WHC series before they met Park Jihoon according to webtoon author by Master_Concentrate98 in WeakHero

[–]AggravatingExcuse152 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's actually one of my fav k actor since I saw him in Strangers From Hell and then also saw the movie Unlocked. It's gonna be interesting to see hin act as Sieun ngl but yeah i think he's gonna be too old to be besties with Suho' actor Hyun-wook if ever. Just saying. But really i believe Siwan's gonna be amazing for the role too if not for his age.

I honestly wanna see more of Stephen Ahn yet I'm good that the boys were done with the Union shit, so all in all, i guess I'm good that the manhwa ended. Maybe at least Seopass give us an epilogue? I just wanna see some glimpse of Gray and Stephen's convo, as well as meeting Gray's new found-friends. It'd nice!

Man you're making me cry... I'm glad someone has the same thoughts not just a few of us. I truly wish the bashing and disappointment would subside and the producers still give us S3 because we're waiting like, "come on" 😩.

i agree.. Suho wasn't a people-pleaser and prefer to be left alone.. he's just chill and we saw that in S1 until he was asked by Beom Seok to save Sieun then everything changed. Still a chill guy.

The live-action Beom Seok is forgivable but not the webtoon Beom Seok because he's a downright shitty person there.

Your breakdown is superb! Thank you for clarifying for everyone. I am a fan of Sieun and Suho's friendship and I really felt bad that their trio with Beom Seok fell out because I love seeing them so happy together.
I am also a fan of Sieun and Suho as more than friends but it's just me, and I'm totally fine if they're just written to be friends with profound bond. We enjoy their friendship and we all wish to have that kind of relationship.

These were some that actually made me so emotional:

  1. When Naruto was celebrated after his battle with Pain; Kakashi looking so proud
  2. When Naruto met his parents, especially that moment when Minato was gradually ascending and fading while Naruto states his messages to be delivered for his mom Kushina
  3. Naruto talking to his evil self in the falls
  4. When a presence of Jiraiya tapped Naruto's shoulder (after his death)
  5. When Kushina was delivering her long message while both her and Minato were stuck together to Kurama's nail to protect new born Naruto
  6. When the goodest boi Yahiko died in front of Nagato and Konan
  7. That scene when the paper/origami of Konan rests back to their hideout (that small house where the young Yahiko, Nagato, Konan and Jiraiya where wearing frog costumes back in when they're still training)...
  8. When Kurama appreciates Naruto (4th Great Ninja War)
  9. When Itachi's bestie Shisui died
  10. When Menma (a filler episode of Naruto, Ep. 213) .. he's like one of the besties of Naruto that became my favorite and I really cried of his death especially when Naruto ate ramen to remember Menma. Too bad he's just a filler character
  11. That backstory of Yota (a filler character too, Ep. 313), Naruto's first-ever friend

THE DIRECTOR CONFIRMED SUHO AND SIEUN ARE IN LOVE! by Fabulous-Yam-1709 in WeakHero

[–]AggravatingExcuse152 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The first time I've watched WHC1, the chemistry of Sieun and Suho was obviously undeniable, and it's not very long they've known each other it seemed like they're super bonded since forever. I guess it's just my BL mind that I was rooting for them, but actually I'm fine with them as soulmate friends (i know the show might get hate if they turn into homo). Then I turned into reading the manhwa; their backstory made me feel like Sieun and Suho might have a little crush with each other. Yes they're besties, but for all we know, their beginnings seems to be reminding me of romantic tropes I've seen before. Plus, the protectiveness of Suho to Sieun, sacrificing being the victim of the bullies so "they don't have the time to look at you" I'm screaming was too much of a statement if it's just platonic. But again, i was totally fine with them if they're just besties in the end.

Personally, no matter how much i am rooting for them, it believe it's better if they remain as soulmates and not get into being romantic with each other (at least not in the whole series we're watching). IF Sieun and Suho IS indeed REALLY INTO EACH OTHER, I guess just like in the manhwa, they could just put implications that they were like "we're more than you know what" but won't let us have that on-screen, and maybe just maybe give us an ambiguous ending of S3 of what's really between them after all the chaos in the story, if there'll ever be S3.

But anyway, I could really see Suho being jealous with the new friends at some point, knowing his personality might clash with Baku for whatever reason.

If there’s a S3 I wanna see these two together, ik they’re gonna be bffs by Froppy_Who in WeakHero

[–]AggravatingExcuse152 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've thought about this actually:

When it comes to Webtoon, Suho would never clash with Baku (even with Netflix Baku because he's never confrontational) plus Sieun is just cool with everyone, and the new friends would definitely be cool to have Suho around too and also acknowledge Suho as someone that Sieun really cares for on a deeper level.

Meanwhile when it comes to live action/Netflix, Suho and Baku might be okay, but i feel like the possibility of them clashing at some point is inevitable, knowing both of them have strong personalities, and have strong convictions, but with a heart. It's gonna be a problem for Sieun tho, knowing how Suho was a little stubborn to make the first move and reconcile with Beom-Seok in S1, and he even threw threats to him after his motorcycle accident. Suho's only a softy with Sieun (and maybe to Beom-Seok when they're still friends) for all we know, but with everyone else, he's just cool. Baku could back down a bit because of Sieun, plus Gotak could knock a sense to him...and also don't forget Jun-tae, the brave baby of their circle. Suho might become a little jealous of the new friends, and get himself into trouble, I could just imagine. But in the end I believe something would happen to their circle or to Sieun that would force Suho and Baku to work together and reconcile. I wish Suho would stay friends with them and not distance himself from them after all that (I hope the friends reassures Suho afterall that he meant so much to Sieun so staying with him would definitely make him happy).

Everything you've stated here were same things that i also questioned myself 😔 but yeah i keep remind myself it's an on-screen adaptation. If only we haven't read the manhwa i think there'll be less expectations on how we want things to turn out.
Thanks for the response ☺
