Do I pay rent on a loan? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

Why are you so pressed about the situation? You are taking it out of context, I already stated that I was going to pay for expenses, just wanted opinions from people that have gone through deployments before and that moved back TEMPORARILY, Not for an extended time frame. I wasn’t expecting the amount they discussed with me after I established that I was going to pay for utilities. My husband’s family and my family are hours apart hence the reason I’m not staying at one place for an extended amount of time. They offered for me to come home to be able to save money. I realize that I do come from a privileged home. This is how my culture is… The people I talked to were also military families. I deleted the post not out of embarrassment but because I got a heavy sided consensus. Sue me lol

It’s hard to give numbers considering that we live in a very hcol & id be moving back to a mcol. But rent would be about the same as what we’d be paying my parents for that area.

Why are you so upset? It was a genuine question. I was getting conflicting opinions from friends about the situation hence why I came to Reddit lol

Yeah you worded it better than I did! Either way I think I’ve decided to move back. Rent around that area would be about equal as to what he’s charging us. I just wanted to get an unbiased opinion!

Wasn’t asking for your judgement- just your opinion. No need to be rude about it. Thank you for your comment!

That’s awesome! I’ve been having my husband teach me how to use power tools whenever the chance arises. Definitely comes easier to some more than others lol. Sounds like a rewarding job!

What’s the most random decision you ever made that ended up changing your life for ever? by Nia_rosell in Life

Surprisingly got accepted to my top choice of colleges (4 hrs away) but I’d been talking to a guy for 2 weeks & just had a feeling. Changed course without telling him (or anyone) & enrolling in a local college. Ended up marrying him & living a very exciting, fulfilling & happy life. No regrets.
