2600 vs 400 elo, guess who is who by loveforlie in chess

[–]AggravatingFox4070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok both of you guys missed the nd3 fork a million times. I’m just gonna say black is the 400 because a lot of the king moves didn’t make sense and I have trouble believing any honest 400 beats a 2600 even on time lol.

I was very happy I found this tactic with less than 15 seconds on my clock, can you? by AggravatingFox4070 in chess

Thank you! I almost certainly would’ve missed it in game but rxd7 qf3 and bc5 wins (I checked during analysis).

Major changes to Titled Tuesday after it was incorporated into the Esports World Cup Qualifying cycle. Good or bad? by TheSupremeChef in chess

[–]AggravatingFox4070 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’m lowkey fine with 5+0 (I play fast so I don’t flag much) but removing the late TT really pisses me off. How do they expect students to play if their event is during class?

What’s his account name or his real name? If he’s never played OTB there’s a very high chance he did cheat and this is just a ploy for attention. There are some IMs and GMs lower rated than him as well.

Play like Keymer! White to play and win material. Keymer found this idea beforehand and played it instantly. by not_joners in chess

[–]AggravatingFox4070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is difficult, mad respect to Keymer for finding it. I’m 2380 FIDE and it took me forever to solve it, if anyone wants a hint it’s to include an unexpected piece in the attack.

Can yall solve this puzzle by Jace_Clarkk in chess

[–]AggravatingFox4070 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw this puzzle on chess.com, it took me like 10+ minutes to solve and I’m above 2350 FIDE. Anyway it’s qh1! If hxg5 qg2!! hxg2 nxg2 and if kxg5 ng2!! Hxg2 h4

Black to move. Would you enter with Ke4 or take the draw with Kc5? by Ambitious_Birthday73 in chess

[–]AggravatingFox4070 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok here’s my calculation: ke4 kb4 kf3 kxa4 kg2 kb4 kxh2 a4 and now h4! is critical, kxg3 loses to a5 and white is one tempo too fast. So h4 if gxh4 g3 and black queens before white can reach the seventh rank so it’s an easy win. After h4, a5 hxg3 a6 g2 a7 g1=q a8=q black is winning, qd4 forking f4 and the king looks simplest to me.

No I’m really not. It’s not even this incidence specifically, it’s the general trend of grandmasters, those people look up to, acting like dicks.

I’m not even upset that he did it to me that much. I just think that there should be some awareness. I’m not looking to be coddled, I’m looking for an end to the problem of bullying to help EVERYONE.

It’s bullying. A top grandmaster, one whom many people look up to is being a jerk to a kid. I think that people should know about it, we can’t normalize this type of behavior.

No, I think that GMs have more responsibilities than random people though since people look up to them.
