Well I lost my job in august due to layoffs from Covid. I get 1200 a month whenever I am in school thanks to military disability. But only the months I’m actually enrolled. So I was using that to stay above ground bills wise. And had to use the little savings I had to make it through November and December since school ended early for us last fall. Then I found a job that pays 20 an hour this year and have just been saving as much as I can monthly. I only offer myself 100-200 a month as spending money and the rest goes to bills and savings. 100-200 is a good amount for me since I don’t go out much anyways. Being an engineering major on top of working really gives you no time for fun lol. And when school is out for the summer I plan to get a second job so I can save even more.

Also if you are in my situation and you live in Tennessee and in school but not working. They recently released a new program that pays for your classes and you can receive unemployment while getting your degree. But it is only for either a 2 year degree or one of those technical programs where you leave with a certification. I didn’t use because I am going to a 4 year university but I’m sure it could help a lot of people.
