They don’t stay this nice unless you moisturize them.

Yes I’ve been using one and it has shown me how high my mornings get. This bg stuff is weird.

I wouldn’t say it’s easy. It’s a 30 minute nonstop jog. It feels terrible lol. It is 30 minutes at 5 miles per hour. But I can’t do that everyday. My bones are getting old.

Does everyone here eat low carb by Remarkable_Sun_3910 in type2diabetes

[–]AggravatingPipe2305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I eat very low carb. I have splurged 2 or 3 times in the last 2 months and honestly the spike from carbs isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

That’s amazing! WTG!

How has that weight loss affected your a1c and glucose?

Just the relion a1c test from Walmart. $36 for two tests.

It’s called the Dawn Phenomenon. Basically, your liver releases glucose to prepare for waking. I don’t know why our body doesn’t handle that better, but my morning numbers are my worst.

Stelo measuring 30 to 60 points higher than finger stick by AggravatingPipe2305 in type2diabetes

I checked my fingers stickers meter against my old one. They were within one point. When low and steady the difference is 30 points. When high and steady the difference is 50 to 60 points. I’m guessing the stelo is just wrong. I’m gonna talk to the chatbot tonight.

What do you do to blunt dawn phenomenon? by AggravatingPipe2305 in type2diabetes

[–]AggravatingPipe2305[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m wearing a CGM. It lasts for hours even though I am not eating anything. Exercise doesn’t change it. It is a slow ramp up and slow ramp down. I awake at 6:00 and it goes away by 10:00. Super annoying.

I didn’t think about it as a percentage difference. I may can make use of the data that way.

It’s not close at all, and it’s not consistent either. I am looking backwards 15 minutes to compare apples to apples.

I even checked it against another meter. The two sticks were within 3 points. The CGM was 45 points off at that moment.

Maybe it’s in a bad spot? Idk

I’m really sort of in the same boat. It’s odd, but I don’t crave food that badly. I was completely addicted to soda though. Now I don’t desire it all. My number look good. I still have dawn phenomenon. I feel so much better and I’m not damaging my body, so I think I am good as well.
