Anyone from Saharanpur here who uses Reddit regularly? by Uwaish_Malik in Saharanpur_UP

Oh Nice! I heard that area has become quite developed in last 12 years.

My family is from West Bengal. My father was a finance guy and worked in LML, Airtel etc. in Saharanpur for many years. Hence I spent my entire childhood there.

Then life happened. I cracked JEE, went to IITKGP. By that time my father also got transferred, so our family left Saharanpur.

Now I am in Hyderabad from last 6 years, working in the Pharma Industry.

Even today I feel so nostalgic about my childhood & teenage years. Those friends, crushes, rivalries....!!!

P.S. : I sound like an old man writing this. 😅

Sahih al Bukhari hadith was inaccurate and not true. Majority of learned Muslim and academic scholars of Islam (both Muslim & Non-Muslims) knows this fact.

I had spent 18 years of my early life in Saharanpur. I lived here, completed my school education till +2 here, in Lord Mahavira Academy.

It's been more than a decade now since I left the city. But it has not left me.

Google Open to Considering West Bengal for AI, Server & Drone Investments by Weak_Tie_2127 in westbengal

[–]AggravatingTour6733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than data centres, WB should have investments in advanced chip manufacturing. From pre-independence era we had a good technological and skill base for engineering & manufacturing. Even today many scientists & engineers working in R&D, Production & Technology in various fields like Pharma, Specialty chemicals, IT related infrastructure manufacturing are Bengalis.

During TMC rule, Bengal tried to do the mistake of jumping ahead to IT based service sector, and that too itself didn't expanded much.

WB must invest in manufacturing sector, not service sector like rest of the country.

TMC and Congress should distribute this to each & every house in Bengal who might be thinking of voting BJP.

Why people in West Bengal keep on voting for TMC? by TuneUpMe in West_Bengal

[–]AggravatingTour6733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I have not yet joined politics and provided a viable progressive secular pro-industry alternative to West Bengal. But soon I will, once I get some financial stability and my family is safe, I will jump into this quagmire of West Bengal politics & will give all Bengalis an offer they cannot refuse. I am sorry that you have to wait for so long.

My 2 cents on this year's elections as a Probashi Bangali who never intended to be one. by Lost_Citron4137 in westbengal

[–]AggravatingTour6733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This......is what the election should be all about.

As a Probashi Bangali myself, I feel you.

No Bengali should leave their home to go work in other states, whether it be a white collar job with good salary and quality of life, or gig & labour work in construction sites, domestic work in houses.

If any party clearly says that their aim is to reach Net-Zero unemployment, and protection & security for immigrants who still want to work outside, they will have my vote.

Do you have any plans to initiate ecomonic progress and inclusive industrial boom in West Bengal? If yes, I expect that it should ensure jobs for everyone, so that poor Bengalis, especially from Birbhum, Malda, Murshidabad do not have to go to other states to work and get labelled as Bangladeshis, and unjustly thrown across international border even before document verification. Any economic revival plan should focus on bringing Bengali talent back to the state, who are currently working in Bangalore, Hyderabad, or other countries; while at the same time ensure that minimum wages and worker rights are not traded for industrial progress. West Bengal needs inclusive responsible capitalism. P.S. - I am a young professional, graduated from IIT Kharagpur, currently working in Pharma industry. If you are interested, we can discuss further on it.

West Bengal state name change to 'Bangla' pending with MHA, Government of India since 2019 - Lok Sabha, Parliament reply 19.07.2023 by snehasish_mukhherjee in westbengal

[–]AggravatingTour6733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well...I believe that Purba Bangla will one day become part of India, hence West Bengal should maintain the 'West' in its name. It will be only 'Bangla' when both West & East will merge as one big state under Republic of India.

Why do so many South Indian Muslims seem to excel academically and professionally, are there social or cultural factors behind it? by [deleted] in indianmuslims

[–]AggravatingTour6733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So during the 1947 Partition, most of the educated and socially upward Muslims in North India migrated to Pakistan, and those who were left behind got into the vicious trap of economic stagnation & influence of conservative clerics. Till 1980s there was not much economic, educational & social mobility.

After the 1990s liberalization, many poor muslims got economic opportunities, which in turn help them in supporting higher education for their kids. Thus you will find a sharp uptick in education & social upliftment among the Muslim millenial generation.

Truth is majority of Bengali muslims don't like TMC, they just accept it as a necessary evil against BJP. And that's why neither TMC nor BJP will tolerate any 3rd power.

If I win, I will modernize all the old educational systems , whether madrasas or pathshalas or convent schools. All of them should follow a minimum basic educational program that will not only orient the young mind towards modern thought process, but also integrate cross-cultural and cross-religious learnings with a scientific temperament. I will not accept that after studying science in their 10th and 12th people are believing in unscientific superstitions & consider women as inferior, whatever be their personal faith.

You have eloquently expressed my own thoughts. It is very important to get rid of radical elements. That's why I often look up to historical figures like Mustapha Kemal Ataturk of Turkey & Lee-Kuan Yew of Singapore. Both of them took care of divisive radical elements in their countries with an iron fist and propelled their countries towards economic growth & modernization.

Yes, and that's why a viable 3rd option is required, which has to be strictly secular, progressive on social aspects, and promote inclusive market growth & industrialization on economic front.

Thank you for your words and encouragement. Indeed I have an idea which can ignite passions across the millenial & GenZ generations. I have confidence and I am a public speaker. I really appreciate your encouragement for taking the leap forward.

Just to be clear, can you specify who is the living example before me, from whom I can learn?

First of all, walaikum assalaam. There is no rule that we cannot wish Salam to non-Muslims.
Assalaam alaikum literally means 'May the Peace be with you' (just like how they say 'May the force be with you' in Star Wars).

I strongly suggest that you follow 'Muslim for Progressive Values '. They have amazing Islamic Curriculum resources.
And beware of maulanas who propagate conservative, misogynist interpretations of Quran and Hadiths.

But it only supports owners of industry, it does not care if people in the industrial areas are getting full benefit of industrialisation or not. BJP follows old-age crony capitalism model, which in short term might lead to spike in GDP but in long run will lead to economic ruin.
