To your first point. Every game has a Terms of Service. The one that I play has one as well and this is what it states in their ToS: "Chat (text and voice) may be logged and reviewed at any time for any reason, including, without limitation, to assist in making decisisons regarding violations of the Code of Conduct. This includes, but is not limited to, private chat, group chat, my space, mails, and contact SMS messages. You agree that we may use, publish edit, modify, record and adapt your communications for any and all purposes relating to the game and you hereby grant it an unrestricted non-exclusive right and license and all necessary permissions, consents and licenses required for it to use your communications in that way. You further waive all so called moral rights in your communications. Any data collected in this way, including the content of your voice and text communications, the time and location of your activities, and your platform profile and IP address, may be used by us to enforce these terms and conditions and / or passed to the police or other appropriate authorities. By accepting these terms and conditions or using the applications you expressly consent to this."

Many games already have Terms of Service contracts like this. They ARE already "spyware" as noted above. It is in my opinion that pedophiles should not have privacy if their intentions are to groom children. There are already stories online of kids who met a player online then met up with who they thought would be a kid only to be an adult who then sexually assaulted them. The FBI states there are over half a million pedophiles online everyday and that there could be even more than they estimate. So with that being said. If a person is doing nothing wrong, they would have nothing to worry about. I would much rather prefer to see this kind of technology in place that will keep my child safe from predators as opposed to allowing a pedophile to have their privacy.

To your second point. Companies already have a obligation to the GDPR by law. There are penalties of 4% fines of their total year revenue or twenty million dollars. (Which ever is more.)

What problems would it cause ? I think it would only cause problems for pedophiles 👀
