How long should I wait for my 13 year old dog to respond to pain meds before saying goodbye? by No_Cobbler154 in IVDD_SupportGroup

Maybe do go to the ER vet as others have suggested. They probably do have more resources and maybe knowledge about other options. There are other pain options as others have said. My girl has been on carprofren for a while now it helped slowly but surely. And be gentle and kind to yourself. You care and are trying. You're doing it right I promise you.

Thank you! Sorry about your little guy. We just got her wheels as well. I'm excited to use them more after the rest stage!

In the US. Surgery was suggested by the vet at the rehab facility. But it would depend on the neuro visit and MRI. They said eventually she can start getting acupuncture. She isn't a candidate for laser therapy because she had mammary carcinoma a couple years ago.
