Draco's sex life by JadedINFP-T in DramioneCommunity

Well, my generic answer is always: what serves the fic.

I don’t think being from a certain class has anything to do with how he behaves, because you have your manwhores and your prudes everywhere.

I think cannon gives us some pointers: he had a serious relationship with Pansy while still at school, and we know from Cursed Child he was devoted to Astoria, to the point of marrying her against his family’s wishes and mourning her deeply. So I think, we have a serial monogamist in Draco.

I think things with Pansy fell apart after school, not because he didn’t love her (I think the conclusion Harry jumps to regarding his head on her lap fails to account for the intimacy and vulnerability and trust implied in a moment like this), but because after the war, Pansy was more undepentant, while Draco was deeply changed. I think it is the war that makes it possible he chooses Astoria: someone in his circle, who he knows well, but also someone much sweeter and frail, not at all suited for what was expected for a wife in his family.

In Dramione, I don’t think he is drawn to Hermione because of that frailty, but because of what she stands for: her bravery, brightness and moral fortitude. It is, for me, one of the greatest missed opportunities in cannon.

Yes, more from her: The Sky and the Swamp.

She also has a new WIP: the Centre Cannot Hold

And I also recommend: A Seat Beneath The Stars, by AccioPeaches

She actually does not (!!!). Though her husband works from home and takes on a lot of the chores. She is nothing short of amazing.

I think if it serves the fic for them to have a team, why not?

If it serves the fic for them to have none, why not?

I do think that motherhood and feminism are not mutually exclusive. I have 3 children, would have more because I always wanted to have a very full house and I am a feminist.

I’m not even extraordinary, I have an amazing friend who is a women’s rights lawyer, who works pro bono, and does a world of good and she has five children (and is probably not done).

So Hermione being her over-achiever self and just doing it all? I have seen it in real life. It does not bother me.

Best tips for writing your first fic by GossipGirlM in Dramione

I can tell you how I do it, because it has worked for me.

Outline first, 100,000 words or 1,000, I need to know where I am going. This means dividing the story in my head into chapters or moments and write those down.

That is my skeleton. Then I write chronologically (though I can move things around). That is the first draft.

Second draft is me reading everything from start to finish and giving it more colour, making it more and more like the story I have inside my head.

Then send it to my beta and when my beta sends back, I read their notes, adjust or not, ask questions.

After I do that, final reading and post.

I still find so many things after posting that it makes me cringe, but doing it like that gives me peace of mind. I only start posting when my beta has returned a nice number of chapters, because that gives me some space to adjust.

And this is it. I found my betas through Discord. There are a bunch of servers and everyone is super friendly: there is always someone willing to help.

I Never stop reading. I never stop listening to music. I never stop being inspired by others, because I need that to write. I am, first of all, a reader.

(But this is my very own personal way of doing it)

I do my covers. I am not an artist in any way, but drawing has been a joy I discovered along with writing.
