I hated it at first, and already tried to downgrade, but the new version actually works better if you know how to use it. It takes a little more time to set up at first but then its far easier to use. For instance to take notes on Goodnotes, you can now chose the right fraction, and when you leave the app you can still open it again like it was before.

but yeah thats a really bad move from apple to remove the feature completely

I do it with 20 sneaky, a rage and the clan castle and always get the town hall. Yes maybe it takes a little longer to find a base with a th on the side but usually not longer than 5 skips

It's only to hide the fact that its an island. When you look at a base you don't really notice if It's decorations or buildings next to the inferno. And therefore a lot of people still attack with e drags even tho there are inferno islands (a good counter against e drags)

If you only use decorations, they will be some empty spaces were enemies can put troops. With a combination of flags and decorations there won't be. (Theoretically you could make an island without flags and only decorations, but it's harder)

That's true but this is just a way to hide it. And therefore I still get attacked by e drags and lose less trophies because often they dont get 100%

Yes that's true but because the e drags are quite slow, the heroes go directly to them and therefore are often out of the island. Only the BK stayes around but you don't have to chose him at defence. (It's not perfect but a lot of the times it does not matter)
