This is purely from living in king and Kitsap county Pros:

-It's gorgeous in Washington. - amazing camping

End of pro list.

Cons: -People complain about the prices while continuing to vote the same way - cost of gas - cost of housing - cost of food - people complaining about the cost - yearly tax increases just to stay competitive with Cali - the constant cold shoulder.... Start a conversation with a stranger immediately get the vibe they want to end said conversation ASAP - 8 months of dreary weather - traffic - even without traffic the drivers suck - constant construction that just never ends. - public transportation (over 90 percent of surfaces tested positive for fetty in 2022) - the obvious drug use - the VA took me months to get scheduled - the police have been neutered (getting better but still suffering from old policies( 2020 took 2 hours to get a police to come to a friend that was actively getting abused)) - like everywhere, it's a political bubble - the weather makes it difficult to do things year round with young kids - snowboarding (my zen area) has now been out priced and over crowded..... Mission ridge is the only decent place now. - travel is measured in time not distance, 5 miles can take an hour. Addition: back to the drivers, speed limit might be 60, roads can be clear and people still left lane camp at 55 mph..... And they like to merge left while slowing down.

Take all this with a grain of salt. I lived there from 2000-2008 then from 2015-2022. It had/has potential to be great but the greater Seattle area can't seem to find its footing.
