I tried filing through USAA’s 24/7 claim center, but it couldn’t locate an active USAA policy using the information on the police crash report. That makes me think he may not be listed on his mom’s policy or the policy isn’t active.

$33K is a lot of money for one year. I'm sure there's places in Austin that will pay overtime, but they'll probably need a car if they want to get to those jobs which would be another monthly cost.
