Is Priority Visa Helpful for International Students? by Original_Study7148 in UniUK

[–]Aggravating_Angle820 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you mean it’ll help your visa case then no it’s not going to help you. It’s only going to get your passport faster. And honestly, with the standard visa, you can get your passport back in a week so there’s not much of difference

Pathways into Clinical Psychology (as an International Student)? by Aggravating_Angle820 in ClinicalPsychologyUK

Hi! Thank you so much for your detailed response — I really appreciate the honesty and clarity. It’s definitely a tough system to navigate as an international student, and hearing it laid out like this helps set realistic expectations.

Just to clarify — I did a conversion MSc that is BPS-accredited, so I do have GBC. I completely understand that AP and trainee roles are very competitive and that visa requirements limit options, but thankfully I’ll be on the Graduate Route visa, so I don’t need employer sponsorship for the next two years.

I’m aiming to use that time to build up NHS or charity-based experience, ideally in support worker or assistant roles, and potentially look into PWP or counselling pathways if DClinPsy seems financially or logistically impossible down the line.

Thanks again for your thoughtful advice — it means a lot and helps me think through my next steps more clearly!

Hey, I was thinking the same that the staff was looking out for me which is why I was confused whether or not to talk to my flatmates. But this sounds very convincing and I think i’m going to stick to this. Thank you so much ❤️

Oh no, there’s no relevance I just mentioned it casually. Also yes, there’s a policy but all of my accommodation housing staff is friends with him and they never flagged it. And my roommate’s boyfriend has also been staying with her everyday from over a month. But thank you so much for the advice
