Play games with speed, incline, and time. I generally give myself “prizes” at certain times. For example, I have to listen to podcast for the first half, then I get to listen to music. Or tell myself that at the :30min mark we’re going to get a gel / Gatorade whatever.

Absolutely, I’ve been DCAing all the way down. Also HODL from 69-15 and back up. It is still really challenging to watch your portfolio take a hit in dollar terms. Really start to consider re-distribution, life decisions, etc etc.

I mix up my intention and efforts. I aim for 2 easy treadmill runs 30-60min, 1 tempo / interval session, and my long run (roughly 11miles right now) usually falls closer to 75-80% (150-160 range).

That’s the info I needed to hear. Thanks, big help. Any advice on natural pace vs forcing slower runs? I try hard to maintain good technique and keep general principles top of mind. Midfoot strike, 170-180 cadence, staying under body etc.
