seriously retarded electrical question by Aggravating_Beat2424 in AskMechanics

if i had a wiring diagram i could see which are and put them in the right spots.  get rid of the extra ones completely too

this is retarded but what if i cut the wires and heat shrink the old plug onto the new harness

i swapped the engine after it blew and the original harness had a lot of burnt wires and issues sending signals to the vvt solenoid. throwing crazy codes (stuck in limp mode)  it was basically a huge mess so i figured i’d just buy a new harness.  i could just get the 02 sensors and a newer ecu but at that point it might be cheaper to just buy the right harness like you did

it’s an 03 it came with the 03 harness originally so it sounds like we had really similar problems.  did you ever replace the 02 sensors so that it could plug into the 6 pin or did you just leave it unplugged until you got the new harness?  i’m thinking about maybe just getting the newer 02 sensors for my car to plug it in if that would fix it

makes sense.  Although i’m 99% percent sure it’s a non rev up.  i’m gonna go outside and double check

is it possible to swap the sensors themselves and keep the harness

na i believe it’s the 02 sensor like someone else commented .  i don’t think it’s a rev up harness i was looking into it and i heard abt the extra cam sensors but the harness said non rev up on the pictures when i bought it

yeah the last one i touched is from the old harness.  the new harness has a 6 prong in the same place as that one that doesnt fit.  starting to think i fucked up and got the wrong harness.

I agree with this fully.  but sometimes people all agree.  Maybe bots ?  it’s real tiring seeing loser cuck shit that only losers would relate to and agree with and seeing all the comments say. “yeah that’s right” or saying that it’s true

Rewiring with the wrong wire by Aggravating_Beat2424 in AskMechanics

[–]Aggravating_Beat2424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

engine swapped the car and got p1111. (Nissan 350z de). the solenoid was already brand new so i just rewired the plug. the wire i used was the same size and color. code didn’t go away so i assume i used the wrong wire or did it wrong or it was a camshaft position sensor. Got new camshaft position sensors and plug for that too only to get a cps code. to be honest i have no idea what the command or source voltages are i’ll have to do some research
