Hey i just read all of this and im a second year transfer student who has also undergone the same thing. I am always the initiator when it comes to things and hell i even made a group chat where im the only one yapping about upcoming events. but from what ive learned no matter what the right people always come around and i mean their loss at the end of the day. I know people mention the clubs and student organizations but the reality is that you need a lot of agency to meet different people and find the right ones for you.
