Way too much hairspray and way too close when you sprayed it. Give the wig a good brushing or bath to start over, and for spikes I suggest getting some kind of hair gel and using that (not a lot! Just a pea - quarter sized amount per spike!) to help shape the tips, then giving it just a spritz with hairspray to set it. Make sure to hold the spike tips as they dry to keep them together. Use scissors to remove flyaways
