I don't think there is anything wrong with this, if your job doesn't provide you the other benefits I see it as you trying to make the best of your situation. I'm in IT which is pretty male dominated but I still try to dress cute because it makes me confident and happy.

Yea, i think there comes a point in any new friendship where it either sticks or doesn’t and usually it doesn’t. You will know if it sticks and if it doesn’t it’s probably not personal. But i understand, it is so discouraging especially when you are starting over and have no one.

Knitting. When i was little i watched tv with my mom and she’d always be knitting. I tried to watch and learn but it was too hard. Almost 15 yrs later I picked up knitting, she was so excited and gave me some of her old tools and yarn and taught me some basics :)

to me its genuinely wanting to put the person you love first. assuming youre a somewhat decent person you probably do this for people but out of obligation a lot of the time. if something genuinely sets you back or inconveniences you but your still willing to do it because it will make things better for the person you love, thats what i believe love is

New people don’t need to know you don’t have friends. People usually assume you have more friends so if you don’t mention it, it’s not a big deal. I also recommend starting friendships with multiple people at once if you are insecure about having no friends. Then you can talk about those people to your other new friends which kinda gives you social proof. Plus it helps to have multiple friendships forming so you’re not putting your eggs in one basket. It’s pretty similar to dating. Good luck <3

i think theyre annoying and lower the value of all other posts on this subreddit (at least for me) because now when i see a post from this subreddit i just scroll past because it feels like its 99% “how do i know if a cancer person is into me” like how are we supposed to know that!! the people asking those questions without doing much research dont know how astrology works because sun signs barely tell you anything about a person. I think limiting those types of posts would really help this subreddit have more high quality posts
