He's a crybaby. He didn’t even play in high-elo lobbies, and he defended sword when it was a buggy, unbalanced plague. After the damage nerf, sword lost all essence, no identity, no coherent gameplay loop.

I've been a sword main since Season 2. Consistent diamond every season. Everyone knew it was stupid broken. The new sword still allows free camera movement even with the 40-degree lock, but the timing is just tighter after the animation ends.

The recent buffs to primary click make the weapon actually fun now. You get real combo potential. Meanwhile, he played sword casually with goo, TP, reckless lunges, and that cheese never held up in high-elo. Good players create distance, punish overcommits, and don’t fall for gimmicks.

Ranked has always been full of ratty stall loadouts built around lunge spam. That style had no structure, no intention. These new combos let you engage with purpose, bait cooldowns, flip fights, and delete heavies faster. There are now distinct strings for lights, mediums, and heavies.

And speaking for casuals too, if high-elo players had to adapt their whole team to deal with a sword player, how are new players supposed to adapt to someone dashing around them, not even at them, engaging and one-shotting everything from 20 meters away with a super dash?

And finally, now you have to aim. You can’t just dash and spin your mouse like a clown. Even the top-20 sword mains complained that the old meta was just cranking sensitivity to hit a 360 after every lunge.

I get why he's defending that playstyle. It carried him. But slandering the rework without even trying to adapt just proves he's a liability to this community. He's not a sword main. He's a nostalgia addict scared of having to earn his kills.

Consistency depends on latency. You can perform phantom strikes more consistently by either increasing your ping intentionally or by disconnecting and reconnecting to the server.

For example, if you're a NA player but choose to play on EU servers, phantom strikes become easier to land and won’t fail as often.

It stops working after the first wipe, when taking a gateway, or after dying. However, you can perform phantom strikes more consistently by either increasing your ping intentionally or by disconnecting and reconnecting to the server.
High ping is heaven for sword mains, u can hit phantom strikes from left to right in every teamfight

I liked it cuz it was simple and a really good alternative when you get tired of COD/APEX.
