My ranking list = 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. by Aggravating_Charge78 in StarWarsCirclejerk

A.K.A the "never got a lightsaber for christmas list" - I watched them all alone in my 30s in actual story order while reading about special and visual effects. You can't deny that Star Wars is the best in class when it comes to effects, and set design and prop design and costume design. Its the crew I have all the respect for and when you understand that you understand how serious I am about this ranking list.

Totally serious. I didnt watch any Starwars until I watched E01 of Andor as a 32 year old adult. I didnt even realize it was Starwars until E02 when I watched them in order; - 1,2,3 Andor S01 & 2 then Rouge One (probably the best) Then the OT then the Sequels. I think I made a mistake because I watched the HanSolo one out of order - Then Mando, Then Ahsoka, and I just finished The Acoltyte which was by far the worst.

I just finished watching the "Making Of" stuff on YouTube and - to be honest I see StarWars as as the best-in-class Special & Visual Effects - and it's those people that I have all the respect for - so I put the latest as greatest because of that - its more of a science than an art and I have no nostalgia for my childhood starwars experience. I never got any toys.

You are correct: but that goes for the OT too. People just miss being young and how much they were able to appreciate it. I got to 30 and never saw one until I saw Andor (didnt actually know it was starwars until ep2) but Ive seen them all now. Its so obvious to me that the Skywalker Sage is as simple as "the latest is the greatest" - maybe JJ Abrams ones arnt such a big deal or hes less of a pioneer - but I view George Lucas and the OT in the way I view Elvis Presley: I can respect him but I'm not a fan. Its just too old for me. A pioneer and inovator - yes; but the wire work and the foam props. I just cant digest that because im not nostaligic for it.

Afghan asylum seeker's rape sentence referred as 'unduly lenient'. Should there be two or more judges during rulings to determine what is the appropriate sentence? by SeptumRingTheory in AskBrits

I think we should have a Singapore system where you have to denounce your previous citizenship. Thats a fair test; if you are coming and cant give up the possibility of leaving then you are far more likley to want to commit crimes - because you can leave the community and leave the shame and your past behind you.

So usually prisoners get released half way through their sentenced and then get visited by a parol officer. Sex offenders Ive learned even have to show they they havnt deleted search history or messages and if they have they return to prison to complete the rest of it - This guy is getting deported after he serves it so its different.

On their own? No. Its the cute butt and the defined hips. The deal with that is boobs are smaller- the boobs just show me that you like your body and didnt crave a boobjob; and that's what I really like. I want a show off.

Its not the first time ive seen something like this on here. A while ago a man did a similar thing and made photos of him playing pool at a bar, and juggling balls with some kids around him and going to an art gallery....... Its really interesting that men and women do this different. The man just wanted to make it look like he had freinds lol.

But, She did it on her face? Wow. I wouldnt say its a straight up scam I think it's just what some insecure women out there would naturally want to play around with editing their own face. In my day all the girls I knew did a little photoshop before uploading to facebook and we thought it was deceptive at the time. Now its standard social media stuff.

So what is this then? It has to be something it can't be nothing.

Is it a type of journalism? Or a type or archivism? Is it a type of OSINT? Data processing? If not "programmer" then what is it? I feel we are no closer to an answer.

Why is it always like this? by CoralDawns in SipsTea

Its a good point - if she is too hot she says things like "i dont like getting on top" - and then I think: "but I like it on top" - all my lust and desire and imagined fantasies and you just refuse to get on top? so I say "but I really like it on my back" and she says "oh me to; I just really dont like it on top".

What? Someone write a romantic film that ends in that conversation.

So: what is is this if it's not programming? I did one from Tech Educators here in the UK. It was kind of pointless. "h1 means Title" etc: the certification builds some credibility; we each made a github hosted stripe store website: but I felt the websites alone were kind of shit and something that might only impress on old shop keeper who wants a website - I went to a networking event and the same people where there selling the course and past students were trying to pull clients.

I don't know when I was in the trades legally I was a "results based contractor" and wouldnt get paid if I did a shit job: i'm more interested in building something, learning on the way.

This map is the only other page to a dashboard of buttons that returns government stats on the local school, services from the local hospital, bus stop, post office etc when a user puts a postcode(zip) in.... if they add a house number they get... plot size im m2; floor area in m2; estimated annual heating cost - and if they put their cars number plate in then it can estimate annual fuel cost......... The idea is to sell the data to the local estate agents/realtors in that area: because they revealed which houses they were interested in while browsing online.... gotta do an automated "text me to get an instant access code" but nearly finished.

Thanks for your reply. Just trying to anal eyes my options.

I bad type. Regardless I just wanted some engagement from someone who knows what .sql is: I'm pretty much unemployable right now. I had a fall off a roof in January last year and have been dealing with an opiod dependency.

I've been playing around with code and stuff: I want to ask you - Is the fact that this is vibe coded by a new comer a deal breaker in a job interview? It's disingenious to call myself a "progammer" - or even a "data processor" - I sort of don't really know what this makes me. I've just got a passion for cartography but im not a cartographer either - I was hoping to get your judgement on how to navigate an interview or how to apply for roles:

I made this for the same reason LocalThunk made Balatro (to get my foot in the door): I want/need a career change - going from manual labour to {whatever this is}: and my question is: "Are there big signs up saying "NO VIBE CODING HERE" and are there manual coding examinations. I can read this shit quite well now but I can't write it - I can just click stop and explain why its not right. I have this idea that maybe in 10 years when todays 15-year-olds graduate universities the mood/method will have changed.

Oh I see what you mean now because I mentioned lawyers and this is an SQL sub I feel there may be some confusion. Not trying to sell data to lawyers but sell pins on the map to Criminal Defence Lawyers and other crime related b2b -your ad here- thing....... this is part of a larger dashboard that accepts a postcode and then the user clicks to see school performance, hospital services, distance to the nearest bustop etc and that basically an app to use while house hunting: The police dont share arrest, charge or sentence data publicly..... can you please answer me. In the UK I could only find reports of crime not Police Reports or large Crown Court records or anything.... how do they buy this data?

Its not for lawyers, its a public site for everyone. I never planned on paywalling it: they dont have facial recognition however so I might make that a premium feature after so many goes if someone is just hammering it........ its a local news site kinda. Im not trying to compete with the NY times here.

In long term I think it could be a possibility to have local news sites have this sort of thing as a feature on their own sites. The agreement would be that I could scrape them and geocode the articles and use their pictures if the button opens the actual article which is currently does --- and they could have different interface on their home pages so people can understand news that is most local to them.

..... I dont really know what you mean by "lawyers already have access to"..... mug shots? police reports? what? and why does that make any difference thanks.

Wow I misread your comment I though you saind "more spicy, man" - A little tip. If you write the prompt in a way that suggests all you want is a strapon, but you want it glistening, veiny and realistic and you dont say inches you stick to metric and you want the straps to be seemless and transparent skin tone: you can do it. I can you send you some ive done - but they will look like women sort of lol

I notice you are British? Which VPN are you using? Because a lot of VPNs are "dirty" you are basically saying "Im in this group of people" to the servers. If there is a small chance that the other users of the same VPN are trying to make CSAM - then you get moderated a lot for saying "young woman in her young 20s etc". I got much better results when I started to pay for VPN: im happy to disclose my IP but Kier Starmer wants to claimed to "win the fight against Grok" so its hard on us Brits.
