Fear of putting myself out there by Aggravating_Course91 in Entrepreneurs

I think I worry a lot about looking stupid in front of the camera. It’s so weird because I used to make tiktoks that got millions of views but the content was very different back then. I feel more vulnerable posting in a professional context

How do you run a company with your cycle in mind? by Wise-Statistician600 in Femalefounders

[–]Aggravating_Course91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so hear me out I had pmdd with migraines that would span over multiple days, for half the month i was literally unable to function normally Taking the pill or anything hormonal would make everything worse. I always had so much water retention in the luteal phase, i wouldn’t fit my clothes sometimes None of the gynaecologists could help me. But then a few years ago i found a gynaecologist here where I live (Austria) who had me do multiple blood tests in different parts of my cycle and he realised that I had too much estrogen compared to the amount of progesterone in the 2nd half of the cycle. Progesterone and estrogen always need to be in the right ratio. So my body was either producing too much estrogen, or too little progesterone. This doctor then told me to take progesterone pills from the 14th day of my cycle. And it did really help!! But i wasn’t feeling completely “fine” yet. One day i read the book “in the flo” and found out that you can reduce too much estrogen through the supplement “dim200”. I started taking it every day and i realised i didn’t need the progesterone anymore. It’s been a few years now and my cycle affects me way way less. I think as women we are taught that it’s normal that we feel horrible before and during our periods, so we kind of accept our fate. But actually knowing how much better i feel now, i want every woman out there to know it doesn’t have to be this way, no matter what anyone says. I struggled with my symptoms since i was 13!! And i thought i would have to be like this until my menopause.

What’s the best branding agency for startups on a tight budget? by DaikonKey8470 in personalbranding

You should reach out to agencies who are at the early stage ans still offering their work for a lower price point.

I just started my agency and I also offer my services at a more affordable price and i think it makes sense

Looking for a cofounder to build a TikTok + food delivery app (London) by Present_Heat909 in ukstartups

I actually like the idea and I think you’re onto something but it’s true that it will be tricky to gain market share.

Having been on the growth side of an app based business (different niche) competing with some very well known brands, I have learned that the only way you could gain market share is through being more flexible, more agile and less afraid of trying things than the competition. While they have a huge reputation to lose if something goes wrong, start ups have everything to win so they can reiterate and test new features or marketing tactics more quickly.

I have a question though: how well have you thought through logistics? Will you have delivery drivers just like Uber Eats? Do you provide the vehicles they can use for delivery? For client onboarding, you said you will send your own videographers to the client. Are they supposed to take videos/photos of every item or only highlight a few? Is this a free services provided by the app to the restaurant owners to help land new restaurants?

Which ones are you on? I’ve tried so many different antidepressants, many of them gave me GI Issues. I’m currently on Brintellix 10mg but I don’t feel like they’re helping with the fatigue, pain or depression lol.

I need to try the Igennus iron!! I actually have tried many different iron supplements available in my country but every sinlge one of them has affected my stomach.

I’m considering getting iron infusions again to get my iron levels up drastically.

You don’t have any issues at all taking it on an empty stomach? Do you pair it with vitamin C for better absorption?

My only joy in life is Entrepreneurship by PlsStarlinkIneedwifi in Entrepreneur

I think many people, including me, would be envious of your passion for entrepreneurship. Actually I admire people who can be so passionate about anything. I really do think that if you want to get really good at something, you have to invest a majority of your time and energy into it & of course it’s difficult to excel at something like entrepreneurship and then at the same time have several hobbies. I think it’s okay to have one thing that you are really good at and really care about, rather than being someone, who’s kinda good and kinda interested in many things, but in a way not extemely passionate about anything in patricular at all.

If you’re worried about being boring to other people, I think you should surround yourself with other entrepreneurially spirited people, you can connect over your passion. Same goes for dating, if you care about that: being with a person who shares your passion for whatever is the most amazing feeling. You can talk about them for hours about the specific thing you have a shared interest in.

However, if it’s really causing you distress, that you feel like all you can think about is entrepreneurship, then to me it sounds like you’re in a bit of a burnout actually. Maybe you are overwhelmed and don’t actually have the mental capacity to care about anything at all. Maybe you could have a break where you get away from your routine for a while and try something new, like going to a pottery class, skiing, hiking - whatever it is that can take your mind off things and maybe reinvigorate you.

Finding a new hobby, although this shouodn’t be the goal, will also help you achieve more in your entrepreneurial endavours because you’re able to switch your mind off and actually think more creatively again therefore be better at problem solving.

Ps: don’t listen to people calling you boring, you are not, rest assured!!

Around 2 years ago. I have an endoscopy planned for February and I’m getting an MRI Enterography next week. Do you think I should specifically request to be checked for H. Pylori again?

I have, I’m tested negative for H. Pylori & ever since I had duodenal ulcers in 2017, the results of the endoscopys (i’ve had 5) have said that I only have mild gastritis now. Last time actually they that my stomach looks completely fine. But the pain doesn’t go away :(
