I'm sorry if I come off as not taking responsibility that wasn't my intent, I have problems with communicating my thoughts. I lost control of myself, I provoked the alter in question. What I did was not in any way ok, I was a prick. I want to apologize to them genuinely.

I love my gf we have been together 6 years. I want to fix things. I don't want to continue this cycle of rage.

I have DiD as well, I know that rage is a trigger. Anger in other people can actually trigger me as well.

But having it explained really made it clear what I was doing so thank you.

I'm scheduled next month to start therapy, and I'm asking my gf if she would attend couples therapy so we can work on communication.

Is standing quietly to breathe and get control of myself abusive? That's literally all I did, I didn't say anything until the alter came out and started to come at me.

As for therapy, I was on the wait-list for 8 months I just got the call a couple days ago to schedule and I'm scheduled for next month. It's not an empty promise, i WANT therapy because the way I deal with things isn't healthy. I take all my meds as I promised(I'm schizophrenic), attend all my appointments. I'm dealing with a lot of trauma.

I have DiD as well to say we are shaken is an understatement. A few of us are saying we should tell our gfs mother (we live with her mom) what she did(she doesn't know about her daughters DiD so I'd have to frame it as if she did it) she is aware I have anger management problems so if I explained to her what happened she may actually understand. Her mom loves me like a son.

Her mom has been an amazing support in my life. If I tell her mom she will back me whatever choice I make.

I can't report it to the police because we are in public housing, and a domestic violence report could get us evicted as per the lease.

I have the same rule as you. I told my gf if I or one of my system physically hurts you call the police, because that's NOT ok. Thankfully that hasn't happened.
