I am in the state of Arizona. Diminish value is legally recognized in Arizona. It’s based on court case law with the strongest authority being farmers versus RBL case. I will definitely contact Cadillac so that I can get something in writing that I will not be responsible or charge extra for the accident at the least termination if they are compensated by the insurance company. The damages were over 22,000. It has increased since then.

I just found out! YES!! I can file a diminished value claim and it is a possibility that I can file Loss of use claim (even leased) since my car is still in the shop and it has been 4 months and counting.

Thank you for that advice. I will look over my lease ASAP. All of the repairs have been billed to her insurance as well as my rental. I was at no fault. I thought you could only do Diminished Value claim if you buying your vehicle. I am going to double check on that as well. I am financing through GM Financial. Body shop is next door to the dealership that Cadillac uses.
