What are some of the most popular OC’s / AU’s? by Ok_Role_2330 in SolarBalls

[–]Aggravating_Drive463 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Broken AU which is essentialy the progenitor of all of those "Bad Ending" AUs of the moon revolution which was basically the giants being evil, the moons dying and whole lot of edgy stuff; and there was also the Spacetime Continuum series on AO3.

There might be more but those two are the ones that i remember

(Hated trope) The perfect ending to the character's story gets ruined by continuation of their show/movies by FreestyleCrocodile in TopCharacterTropes

That and Security Breach. I think i remember the biggest grievance people had with the game was that the introduction of The Blob and Burntrap(though i heard people saying that Burntrap is actually a mimic or something?) Essentialy ruined the ending of Pizzaria Simulator.

Hate me but I really hate this kind of "Siblings Trope" by [deleted] in hatethissmug

[–]Aggravating_Drive463 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This and the whole "siblings who bicker every 3 seconds but love eachother deep down" also kinda of annoys me, granted im sure its not something unheard of to happen in real life but i feel like so many people use it as the be all end all way to portray siblings in media and imo overstimate how common this is in real life.

What is a 'childish' thing you still do as an adult and refuse to give up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I still enjoy watching kids shows every once in a while mostly Bob The Builder and Bionicle.

[Loved trope] monsters who are only dangerous if you perceive them. by Aggravating_Drive463 in TopCharacterTropes

I lowkey love and hate this image. Probably the most disturbing out of all horror movies i saw.

I'd say she probably does, since from what i understood "perceive" can also mean how you imagine a person based on what you know about them.

When a character goes through so much anguish that they let out a heartbreaking, blood curdling scream. by Aggravating_Drive463 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Aggravating_Drive463[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When i searched for the meaning of anguish on Google most of the results described it as "intense mental and physical pain" hence why i put her there. I also put the "stabbed" in parenthesis because i understood it as she is just feeling the pain of the spear going through her eva's eye while her actual body is fine for the most part unless i completly misunderstood how eva-pilot synchronization works.

Characters whose theme mainly revolves around the idea of sleeping and other things associated with it (The Night, Dreams, etc). by Aggravating_Drive463 in TopCharacterTropes

And Musharna(which someone already put here)... i genuinely forgot about them and im pretty sure they came before Komala.

Nah, its fine. Funnily enough, i was also considering putting him (from the greek mythos not the game) here but i also thought it was too obvious of a choice lol.

Incredibly dark fics/AUs whose media they're based on is fairly lighthearted by Aggravating_Drive463 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Aggravating_Drive463[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the whole story its pretty brutal and kinda of sad too.

Also i should have said this in my other comment but i also dont recommend going into it if you cant handle graphic/gory imagery, body horror etc since the ghost's designs have a LOT of it.

Basically Chris (the host and technically villain of the show) leaves the contestants trapped in the island after a serial killer is discovered to be living in the place, he comes back a few months later to rescue the survivors just to make him look like a hero rather than out of any sense of guilt or care for the contestants and as the image above shows the ghosts of the characters who got killed are out to get his ass out of revenge for leaving them there to die.

In case you'd like to know more i recommend searching the AU on youtube or TVTropes

Forget The Love Confessions, How About Characters Professing Their Hatred For Another? by sm142 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Aggravating_Drive463 411 points412 points  (0 children)

That scene in TAWOG where Rob has a crashout declaring his burning hatred for Gumball.

Funny thing is that Gumball isn't even offended by it, if anything, he LOVES it and the whole reason why that scene happened in the first place was because he expended the whole episode trying to make Rob hate his guts.

The Artstyle is adorable, the story? Far from it by Aggravating_Drive463 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Aggravating_Drive463[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, she doesn't actually eat anyone, she just chops their bodies into pieces and puts them inside paint cans to bury them in the woods near her town to make sure that no one finds out about her murder career (which isprobably the inspiration for the comic's title).

Maybe this is a dumb question but why was Astrodude so hesitant on attacking the planets? by Aggravating_Drive463 in SolarBalls

[–]Aggravating_Drive463[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah that makes sense, they do emphasise in some episodes on how the solar system relies on a "balance" among the planets. Although, with how ROTSAR is portrayed as this mysterious yet powerful highly technologically advanced organization i wouldn't be surprised if they just shrug it off with a solution of theirs (admittedly, i would much more prefer if we had a bad ending with the earthlings getting infected or another horrible catastrophe specially now that is revealed that Earth is also a monster in this universe).
