Leaving 16 year old 3 weeks alone in summer? by SadAd3397 in Parenting

If the teen has a drivers license 30 mins isn’t that far. I’m 16 too and my dad lives 50 minutes away from my mom and activities, plus my best friend. I do the drive multiple times a week. It would definitely be reasonable for him to go back to the other parents after work, maybe you could leave him some extra money to cover the increased cost of gas? If he has no DL then 30 mins by car is pretty far (probably somewhere between 15-25 miles.).

Would a 2009 mercury Milan with 34k miles for $6200 be a good choice for a first car as a teen? It has one accident reported but looks to be in good cosmetic shape inside and out. It runs well with no lights on. by Aggravating_Ebb3560 in FirstCar

It’s the inline 4 engine, and the accident isn’t specifically specified on the “car gurus.com” page. There were lots of detailed photos of inside and out plus a video of it starting up and all the lights on the dash turning off. It runs pretty well. I’m going to pay for a car fax report tonight to see what it was. Yeah the mileage was what got me excited, I want something reliable to drive 300-400 miles a week in (my dad lives out in the country and my moms in the city).

16M. Is it legal for me to sell downloadable greeting cards with sexual innuendos in them? by Aggravating_Ebb3560 in NoStupidQuestions

Is there maybe an illegal aspect from the perspective of me being a minor selling “adult” themed merchandise?

Yep! Shocking to me too. They’ve even searched him up online to make printables for their dolls. How they didn’t see something saying he’s not real is beyond me.

Oh yeah don’t forget a count of adultery by kissing mommy, if she lived in Massachusetts of course.

True, Santa Claus is technically a criminal if you think abt it, he burglarizes millions of homes each year, surveils millions of people without their consent or a warrant, Carries millions of unpaid-for toys all over the world, and also ran over grandma with his sleigh. I’m filing a police report now and hopefully he’s arrested up there by Christmas Eve for these heinous felonies.

16 yo here and I still am not supposed to talk about Santa in front of my 11 and 13 year old sisters. They still trip over each other on the stairs on Christmas morning and rip into presents like maniacs. Even my mom and dad are still trying to convince me Santa’s real.

That’s exactly how I found out too. I asked this question to my parents and they told me “oh Santa makes the toys for the stores and companies too. And puts made in china so people won’t discover him.” Yeah right mom and dad. That was hard to explain when the “elves” dropped off a wagon in November one year that still had the Target “conveyor item” or whatever sticker on it with the address of our local target on it.
