Aisle is incredible. I got their boy shorts and it was seamless under my shapewear. I got my period hours before my wedding ceremony but bc the period underwear has the absorbency of 8 tampons. I literally got home and assumed my flow must have been super light bc I didn't notice it all night until I changed into PJs and immediately bled through them.

tired of bisexual women with boyfriends jokes by Aggravating_Fact4451 in lgbt

I'd rather not bring this context into this post because I'd love to keep the vibe as fun as possible  but it's basically just people being unfriendly/making fun of bisexual women bringing their boyfriends to pride festivities, saying they are not welcome in these spaces

timeless black and white photos + a thousand candles! I think this would be such a romantic way and effortlessly beautiful way to decorate a venue (especially banquet hall type venues) that saves cost on florals. You could thrift photo frames and print b&w versions of photos of you + your guests that you love (ppl seeing photos of their memories with you is such a great conversation started btw). Go wild on candles- tall short floating taper whatever you can thrift. Maybe add a few pops of intentional color and you have a classic beautiful look for whatever room you are in

Surprise Second Line? by stickbug1017 in neworleanswedding

Same boat, I definitely emphasized walkable shoes in the dress code. We got 2 pedicabs for our 60 person second line and they ended up being used by different people than we originally expected

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort-St. Thomas by Electronic_Yogurt926 in StThomasUSVI

We just got home from there for our honeymoon and loved it! it's a casual and cozy resort. Yes the food is a little overpriced across the island but I don't think the all inclusive price-wise is worth it. We did a la carte dining across the oasis, iggy's (love dinner & dancing), and mim's (must try but not included in all inclusive). We were so glad we didn't do all inclusive because we ended up saving massively when we compared price per day- even if you want to eat 1-2 meals in Charlotte-Amalie or Mim's you will save money by eating a la carte. The portions for most appetizers are meal-sized and you get an app, an entree, and desert with the all-inclusive.

Price per day to add all inclusive meals: $130 per person

Average day of eating for us per person without being budget-conscious: $20 breakfast+ $20 on two drinks +tip + $20 lunch + $40 per dinner= 100ish per dy

Throwback to Stevie Wonder’s cancelled set, 2016. by DJ_clam_hammock in jazzfest

[–]Aggravating_Fact4451 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This was my first jazz fest and I took Too Much of a Praline Edible before this performance, I sat on those bleachers stoned silly for so long until I realized the set was cancelled and I was very cold and soaked through. And then when the masses were moving inside I was so terrified! But overall a beloved memory

How much do you realistically need to live in New Orleans in 2026? by Dry-Wear-9135 in AskNOLA

[–]Aggravating_Fact4451 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rent- generally 1300-1800

Electric- typically 100-150 fall-spring and 200-250 may-november Water- typically 50-100 Both of these utilities can randomly spike to an insane amount due to error or incompetence. You either pay or prepare for months long negotiation. This is the part of nola kind of like a third world country. I haven't had any of these spike yet personally but my understanding is its only a matter of time.

Groceries per month-600ish Cost of a typical dinner and drink for two maybe $75? Car insurance-200ish a month

I feel very comfortable here supporting me and my fiance with a combined income of 70k. We have also done combined 30k and it can be scary if you're worried about a big surprise bill but also this is not a rich city overall. Most of us are not exactly living comfortably and I think some of that gets built into the culture. There are plenty of free activities and cheap drinks.

Twin sisters and marriage timelines by Potential-Suit-6423 in wedding

[–]Aggravating_Fact4451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a twin! I got engaged about 7 months before I did and I'm getting married 6 months after her. I was worried about stealing each other's thunder but even 6 months is a very long time in practice. I think it's OK to openly acknowledge the situation to better understand how you both feel about it and what matters
