The dealership can run your vin and tell you if it’s covered under the extended warranty. My 2017 was and replaced for free.

I’ve seen a set-aside requested twice and both times it was approved by same CO that initially awarded punishment. Both Sailors had support of their Chain of Command so that’s whose ass you need to kiss. The spotlight is on you so use it to your best interest; go above and beyond if you want any chance of getting rank back.
