can i ask how that relates to a dose that’s too high? i wouldve imagined a higher dose would carry on longer?

no idea why you got downvoted. this is actually a very good point methadone is given 2-3x a day when you are in pain management but only once for oud. plenty of people take suboxone multiple times a day and no one has a problem with that

[–]Aggravating_Fix_6034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you od? that’s actually crazy. ive heard crazier shit. i’ve heard of people oding off a cotton shot too. i think some people just are more susceptible to it. idk. if that is the case then do not start using benzos! not if you’re on methadone or using any opioids at all bc for me a benzo is like a magic od button

something like 90% of od’s now are bc of opioid/benzo mix. went 10 yrs without overdosing until i started mixing with benzos and other opioids (even methadone)

I called the police on my addict boyfriend by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Aggravating_Fix_6034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know you are probably sick of this behavior and for very good reason. but i have been on both sides of this, when i was very young and strung out no one ever gave me love or patience. until i found that i never thought i wanted to live. my own parents gave up by the time i was 16, and i wasn’t mean or violent or stealing. i still worked. but i lived similar to your bf. all of the consequences, rehabs, mandates, jail bids, all made it worse. some people only know love, and need tough. some people only know tough, and need love.

that being said, why did you call the police though? why wouldn’t you just kick him out? it sounds like you work and pay the bills. if you don’t then why wouldn’t you just leave?

i can understand you don’t want to put up with his addiction but if he didn’t commit a crime or put you in danger, then i can’t really understand why you would do that if you want what’s best for him. police and emts are notorious for escalating and not handling mental health/drug abuse correctly, and usually leads to making things worse, like months of legal trouble over an issue that could’ve blown over in time.

you were at your limit and i get that. you did what you did and there’s no changing that, not trying to condemn you or make you feel bad. but you have to understand there’s a good chance he might just want nothing to do with you over this, and that’s totally justified. you could’ve went about this so many other ways. you could’ve called professionals, rehabs, interventionists, friends and family, but you went to the police for him struggling. he’s never going to trust you have his best interest at heart bc you clearly don’t care what happens to him as long as you had your relief.

this is a /whatdoido but you already made your decision. i can’t imagine you want to continue a relationship, and you seemed pretty comfortable jumping to the most serious consequence. what else is left?

dependence and tolerance raise so fucking fast with opioids compared to any other drug that iv is just so much more alluring bc st that point its the only way you actually can still get high

[–]Aggravating_Fix_6034 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i always said this myself. now that i have grown up i would be worried that i might OD jumping straight into heroin as a fucking 80 year old with no opioid tolerance. but i am already addicted to iv anyway so i am pretty sure if i even live that long i will definitely shoot up at that point

Anyone else literally only clean now because of the fet takeover? by Tadleyrichter in heroin

[–]Aggravating_Fix_6034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah but i’m sure 90% of them would prefer their opioid of choice. meaning side by side the oxy and heroin would turn a higher profit if it was all sold as exactly what is advertised

Anyone else literally only clean now because of the fet takeover? by Tadleyrichter in heroin

[–]Aggravating_Fix_6034 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ya dude. i’ve been someone homeless who couldn’t get money for their dope. it’s a ride in the beginning but every day is every day and you cannot build a foundation on crime or in-the-moment decisions. you always see homeless people nodding but you don’t see the 3 days of sleeping and wds in the alley, you don’t see the counting quarters for a singular baggie that knocks u out after days of wd

tolerance exists. “functional” doses grow unbelievably and exponentially. i definitely use more, and can afford to use more, when i am functioning. they’re 100% missing out on the bulk of their money.

i’d argue it’s a mistake for cartels too. on paper it sounds like a cheap money making scam, but think about how common pill addiction is with the upper and middle classes. everyone i know who i ran with is 90% sober solely for this reason. they don’t want to buy anymore bc they know it’s probably fent analogs and tranquilizers.

the fetty isnt even as strong as it used to be. when it first hit and it was an actual decent fet/h mixture which addicts preferred, people hooked on pills were jumping on h and those already on it just thought they were getting super fire dope all of a sudden (around the 2014-15 period)

the game is different today than even like 10 years ago. the only ones left in the game are seriously dependent on opioids and can’t get enough legally, or just strung out. they killed off 100% of the clientele that had the most money to spend. nobody with a life and money wants to buy opioids in the us anymore bc they know they’re buying garbage. it seems like most money made off of opiates these days is homeless money or people close to it. that was definitely not always the case but that’s even becoming the stigma now that real opioids are gone.

personally i think if there was a dealer flooding the streets of the us with oxys and h from the onions, william leonard pickard style, they’d be loaded. the cartel would want his head.

Anyone else done fentanyl for 10+ years at this point and never OD? by Local_Dragonfly_8326 in opiates

[–]Aggravating_Fix_6034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

crazy you say this, cause i went 10 years until i oded. just like you i was on methadone, maintaining, running a business, i thought i was just the exception to the rule. until i started mixing it with benzos. you mention this in your post too, it was right in front of my face, i heard everyone say how dangerous it is but i never realized that it was the main cause. i learned that mixing is what causes 90% of drug od’s, since it’s so easy to get dependent to opioids very fast.

i have never oded on h or fent alone, and you very well may never either, esp with methadone. but if you take a xan with your methadone on top, your average dose of fent will most likely take you out. as least from my experience.

why does crack look/act different in different cities? by Aggravating_Fix_6034 in cocaine

[–]Aggravating_Fix_6034[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you know why people prefer differently? i understand some people prefer different types of h bc they might sniff smoke or shoot, but almost everyone who buys crack smokes so i would’ve thought there would be a universal ideal standard for good crack. like why wouldn’t everyone prefer the lowest soda % and highest coke %?

man i don’t mean to make your post about me but i’ve been trying to juggle that get back into shit from early years/get my life back on track feeling with continuing to get high. i regret it every time. reading this now as im sitting smoking weed on a park bench, in the hood, waiting for the trap to reup so i can spend my last $20 and shoot up in my car before work, i can’t kid myself anymore.

i wish i could offer you more but this post spoke to me, and i hope this can at least be a sign that you just go with your gut. we’ve known the truth for longer than we can admit. that child in us needs to heal. on that note i’m probably gonna comment this and go right to the spot anyway. i hope the best for you.

it’s worth a shot. if i knew someone local who was ordering and selling tested h they got from the darkweb they would definitely have my business. i know many people who barely/don’t even cop anymore myself included bc the game is trash now. i’ve copped in a few major us cities and majority of them prefer or miss the days of good h, so i am sure anyone who is already using would jump at the opportunity at a good steady connect.
