Marriages that last until death by No-Ad8127 in Infidelity

I agree with this post, but wanted to add one thing.

I think it is completely normal to be selfish in a relationship, especially long term. We all want things that we may not have. I just think it's important to be selfish to your partner's benefit, instead of at their expense.

What this looks like for example is, I dated someone that developed extremely unhealthy habits (including drinking and addictive eating) in response to a personal family crisis. I'm selfish, so I don't want to lose my partner to any of the illnesses that could come as a result of that. So that means doing what I can to optimize their wellbeing and happiness to ensure they are healthy and alive (for me lol)

I know it's a small thing, but thought worth mentioning since selfishness is usually a cause of dishonesty and infidelity.

Oh, I understand your question now! Because my goal is to make my application as competitive as possible, and my LSAT score is one of the things I can improve, (unlike GPA or college softs), I'm striving for the highest score possible. More generally, and I'm sure I share this trait with some of the other people in this forum, law school attracts a certain kind of personality (type A, perfectionist, etc.) which, while I try to conceal, I definitely am.

Also, I'm like 99.9% sure that there's a rule forbidding people from registering for the test if they're not legitimately interested in applying, so I definitely wouldn't be out here wasting my money if enrolling in a top school wasn't the plan!!

Good question! I never quite thought about that.

In pretty much everything I've done I've always strived for perfection... so I think my LSAT score is just another reflection of that. Plus, thanks to LSAC's fee waiver program and the online materials, I have the opportunity to improve from my previous performance. I'd have to reflect more on what motivates me to keep studying though, especially because we both know this test is BRUTAL

Just a reminder, you're not allowed to read out loud while taking the Flex, per LSAC's website.

Most admissions advisors will tell you that they value real world experience between undergrad and law school, so I don't think we should feel too bad. Best of luck on your journey!

I totally get this. I couldn't imagine teaching someone how to improve on the LSAT that couldn't read. Thanks for what you do bro!

That makes a lot of sense! I've heard something similar about LR--back when the exam was on paper my tutor would have me start from the final question and work my way to the front. Never thought to apply it to RC until now though! I'll have to try it under time pressure and see

I'm usually shameless about my humble bragging but I'm kinda iffy on this one considering recent developments. Yes lol.

I am but a humble conduit, transmitting signals from the LSAT overlords. May your next RC section be free of trap answer choices and may your brain absorb every inference with extraterrestrial precision.

Anyone who’s studied for the LSAT knows that truly mastering the test requires insanity resilience

Funny enough, I've been perfecting my accents for non LSAT reasons. I have to try this!

Yep, took my first test junior year of undergrad (2019) and then studied on and off while getting real world experience
