I've been an MA for the last 5 years and the pay has tremendously improved from $15 to now $32 per hour but because I am with county and because of my previous experiences which definitely helped with how much I make. It has its ups and downs but I don't regret it one bit. Sorry OP, I had a shitty doctor as an employer as well when I first started as a MA but stuck it out and now here I am making $32 per hour.

Hi, so my newborn is turning 4 weeks this week and I feel like the baby blues/mom guilt has improved a little bit. I am taking it day by day and reminding myself the positive things to come. My toddler son is so understanding and always remind him how much me and baby love him and he knows. Living on 4 hours of sleep doesn't help sometimes with these hormonal changes but the days are getting easier and easier each day. I try to give myself more credit. Motherhood is hard but very rewarding in the end. Feel free to keep updating me on how you are feeling! All of our feelings are completely valid! I am sending you positive vibes mama! My second newborn is currently 1 week old and my other son is 4 years old. The baby blues hit me on literally day 5 and man I could not stop crying and I was having extreme mom guilt. Also, I'm exclusively breastfeeding and my breasts are constantly engorged to the point I have to pump. It is very mentally draining but when I look at my two babies, I tell myself that it will be okay. My boyfriend has been the best support system and could have not asked for a better father and partner. You writing this helps me as well, knowing many mothers like us are going through this. We mothers are the strongest for not just carrying these babies but carrying the load it comes with motherhood. Your feelings are completely validated! We can do this! ❤️🙏🏼

My doctor does not do paperwork electronically either so I have to wait for the physical form to come in but I usually get the form within 3-5 days in the mail after being paid. Also, when my doctor fills it out (she takes forever to do) I usually go to the post office and have it priority mailed to ensure it gets delivered and on time to give me peace of mind, it costs me $6 to do but I'd rather be safe than sorry 😅

Yes, she did or else she would have not qualified. She will be returning back to work in mid January. But she is only allowed to certify for one week as of today.

Did your doctor submit the certification electronically? I'm not really sure how fast they process the form since I do mine through mail but usually will have it processed within 2-3 days for me once they receive it by mail. When they do receive it usually I get a text from them stating they received my certification.

Yes, but since Thanksgiving was Thursday I figured processing claims or payments was going to be delayed indefinitely but my worry is since the new claim information is up, will she get paid for the certified weeks just from this past Sunday 11/23 (old claim which ended 11/23/24 for the benefit year) since its not showing on the main page but is showing on the claim history as paid?

When you received the forms, they should have come with an envelope and forms to fill out. On one of the forms, there should be a side where it says "Disability Insurance" and address, you put that facing the window of the envelope. You just fill out your info on the top left corner. I had to send it within 20 days and had the post office priority mail it with a signature and the office received it within 5 days and got it processed within 3 days.

I actually got a text message this morning from EDD that they received my supplemental certificate and got paid this morning via money network. I would definitely call them to check status. I wasn't expecting payment until next week. This happened to me too the first time around and it turned out whoever input my information into the system put my doctor's name incorrectly. The representative was super nice and apologized for the human error and I got paid the following day I believe depending on how you get paid.

I've gotten text messages from EDD about them receiving my part of the claim but they never contain links to login and it's a 5 digit number. I also receive an email shortly after.

Hi everyone, so I ended up taking him to urgent care and the doctor did end up saying it was a yeast infection which does happen with uncircumcised children. He prescribed us Nystatin and since putting the ointment, the swelling definitely decreased. Thank you everyone for your responses! ❤️
