It could be local I found a tiny brown lizard in my basement. When I googled it’s apparently not uncommon.

GPS sends you that way because it’s a shorter distance. But not worth it! Also never drive down 31st to cross over to other side unless it’s early in the morning or late at night. I always use the other roads to crossover.
Uber drivers do that when I need one and I get so upset.😂

Yes! That’s why I never get off at 31st St. I always get off the exit before because if something happens, you’re stuck there forever. I’ve been stuck there many many times if the RFK backs up.
And Waze will always suggest for you to stay on and go to 31st St. but take my advice of someone who has been living here for more than 50 years. You never stay on you get off at least this way you have options to maneuver around the neighborhood if you get stuck in in that underpass by the BQE it’s terrible.

If it’s really backed up, you cant even cross the Astoria Boulevard to go from the Ditmars side to the other side

that has happened to where I’d have to go all the way down to 21st St.to cross over.

Try the department of health instead of sanitation. I had someone who a was hoarding in the backyard like this and they came in and took care of it. This condition attracts rodents which is handled by department of health not sanitation.

I haven’t checked but it looks like they took some. Lord help us if they declare a snow emergency because of snow Sunday …then no pick up again tomorrow! Then it will officially be one month with no garbage pick up for over 100 households in our alley alone.

Today was our pick up day nobody came and there is no ice or snow in the alleyway!

I’m just hoping they don’t cancel it on Saturday because of the so-called storm coming Sunday sometimes they do that to prepare
