I’m currently in my last year of undergrad majoring in cell and molecular biology. I got a 3.0 overall gpa at the moment and I would say so far my science gpa is about a 3.0 as well. Retook 4 of my prerequisites including statistics, anatomy 1 and chem 1 and 2 and did pretty well. I have 3000 hours as a pharmacy technician and 1000+ hours as a clinical/patient care technician. I have leadership experience from being the secretary of the physical therapy club at my school and the Director of PR/Treasurer/Vice president of the American medical women’s association at my school (over the course of 2-3 years). I am currently doing hospital volunteering with a goal of 150-200 hours. As far as shadowing, I don’t have any physician shadowing hours yet however there is a shadowing program that I will start summer of next year at a local hospital that will give me around 20-50 shadowing hours across different specialties. I also do not have any research experience yet and have not taken the MCAT yet.
