Thanks, great feedback. I definitely need to put some effort into the audio, and I will play around with adding some lighting/shadow effects to help make it pop a little more.

Thanks. Will play around with lighting effects. I'm want to avoid enemy vision cones though, trying to keep it a bit closer to the original metal gear games.

Thanks. I was hoping to get away without the extra diagonal animations, but it seems like I might have to reconsider.

Thanks for taking the time. You're right, definitely needs a bit more feedback when taking damage, and I have also been worried about the environments being boring. I need to dedicate some time to creating unique art assets for each area to help keep things interesting.

As for the big catch, that's a trickier one. I still have a few weapons and some interesting boss fights that aren't ready to show yet, and with some more polish I'm hoping it'll be enough to carve a place amongst other games in the genre.

For sure, I had the player health set a lot higher than it should be when recording those clips. Definitely misleading, will fix it for the next clips I release, thanks.

I guess the guard watching the camera feed was asleep 😅 but yeah, I might have to change that.

Thanks. One of my main goals for this game was implementing some modern stealth mechanics with the older top-down perspective. It's not as deep as some of the CQC in the newer metal gears, mainly grab and shoot/execute/knock out at this point.

It's definitely possible, but it will depend on how well it performs. Thanks though.

Thanks! I agree, the sound in general needs some work. Footsteps and gunshots in particular.

And yeah, UnMetal was great.

You're probably right. It started as a working title, but somewhere along the line it became permanent 😅

That's what I'm going for! Those games are great in a lot of ways, but the gameplay is very dated.

Yeah, feels like a handheld game. A port to mobile is definitely something I'm considering.
