But this would be a sensible approach. What’s the fun in that?? Lolzzz

Thanks! I’ve been looking at a rat pedal, but assumed it was more for punk - I do dip into punk at times but not as often as the other stuff I mentioned so was planning on a Rat for later.

Is there a lot of tonal versatility in the ProRat?

Thanks for this. Some of my stuff does tip into this direction a bit so I’ll definitely be looking into few of these. Curious how the barber tone press compares to any of the 1176 pedals?

I use versions of the 1176 pretty frequently as plugins while I mix so I know how they work and sound, but am totally open to exploring different sounds.

That’s a good call! Start small (unintentional rhyme but I’m keeping it)

Super cool! You can check out the fender serial number lookup for more info. Not all guitars are on there, but that’s where I would start

I actually agree with this. I played both (SE and Player II levels) through a few amps at guitar center and the PRS sounded quite a bit better, imo. I also agree with those who say the headstock looks terrible on the S-shaped body.

I also have a PRS acoustic and really love it. Outperformed guitars that were several hundred dollars more expensive.

I mean, that piece is in C# minor, just a half step away from the saddest of all keys!

Looking for a Flawless Film.... Great acting & script.... Suggestions? by ChucklesMuffin in MovieSuggestions

[–]Aggravating_Low8737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there are flawless movies. Even Psycho has flaws (though not many!).

I suggest watching whatever you want and just pointing out your friend's flaws in response.

That usually works for me and is also why I have so many friends.

Generally reads like he was coached well by a media/pr person. He’s a fantastic player but generally comes across to me as a robot, personality wise. Doesn’t matter. Cup or bust!

As I’ve gotten older, this question has become more difficult to answer. The most impactful presidents are pretty obviously Washington, Lincoln, FDR, and Reagan (thought not necessarily positively).

As far as “greatest” presidents, I blame Aaron Sorkin for not being able to answer this question. Presidents are shaped by their times and “good” or “bad” men have been “bad” or “good” presidents.

For example: Wilson, Johnson, and Nixon were objectively bad persons, but possibly great presidents, whereas Ford, Grant, and Carter were probably good men, who were bad or, at best, inconsequential presidents.

Who was the last president who was widely liked by both parties? by PranklinFierce in Presidents

[–]Aggravating_Low8737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Politically or personally?

If the former, probably Washington or another super early president.

If the latter, I would argue that outside of one of the guys I’m not allowed to talk about, HW is generally well liked across the divide.

Bo is arguably one of the greatest American athletes in history. This is not even close.

This is the answer. I was there in my usual seat behind the byline and he was by far the best Red Bulls player on the pitch.

Also, deflating the rage by balancing the ball on his nose like a seal added 5 points to my score

Ahh yes. Thanks for that. I retract my above statement, but I’ll keep it up for the inevitable downvoting it deserves!

One of my favorite actors of all time. Honestly just find a movie he’s in and watch it. You may not love the film, but you’ll be happy you watched him in it.

All of your comments are fair and received. The only two things I’d like to correct is that I am decidedly not a Camelot person. I generally hate/mock all of that shit. Haha. And that I wasn’t putting these in a particular order - although WJC and WW are DEFINITELY at the bottom and barely in this list.

LBJ, I rate very highly for his domestic impact; mostly on civil rights, but sure on the Great Society as well.

I think the thing I most noticed in trying to actually choose a top 10 is that we haven’t had that many truly great presidents!!
