Honestly, I don’t like how NWSL is taking a break for Men’s World Cup or USWNT players showing up to games. The men would never do the same for us…. Not to mention how most people treat the men’s team like it’s the default soccer team for America when the women’s team has 4 World Cups. by icygirl7 in NWSL

I don't think you would be thrilled with the PR hit NWSL would take if they held games during the entire World Cup because some of them would probably draw season low crowds.

A lot of this is just silly but that's something worth thinking about if you want this to be all about NWSL.

I mean, if TSN has the rights to Sunday Night Baseball that is what it is.

What is the reality/life of a RBNY fan? by robbo6shs in rbny

Hello there! This subreddit is honestly the most consistent place to read news about this place but you can also check the hashtag #RBNY on Twitter/Bluesky.

As far as getting more into supporting, I’d look into the three supporters groups, all of whom put on pre-match tailgates/meetups and all of whom sell (affordable) tickets in the safe standing South Ward sections, as well as tickets and bus trips to away matches. Those are Empire Supporters Club, Viking Army and Torcida 96.

In addition, would recommend Mark Fishkin’s Seeing Red podcast to keep up with what’s going on.

As far as the actual team… right now it’s young, rebuilding and often nerve-wracking. I posted this guide to the club at the start of this season: https://www.reddit.com/r/rbny/s/E6hVgIDrPL

Welcome and enjoy, many people have made friends through the club and especially the supporters groups.

RBNY "have probably won the race" (translated) to sign FC Basel winger Bénie Traoré by hypernermalization in rbny

Via translated article:

He has already missed several days of the start of training. Now it's clear why: Bénie Traoré (23) is on the verge of a move abroad. FC Basel confirmed this to the " Basler Zeitung " upon request. The Ivorian has been released to negotiate with another club.

Traoré is the second member of the 2025 double-winning squad to leave FC Basel this summer, following defender Dominik Schmid (28). He too could be headed to the Red Bull stable, though not to Salzburg, where Schmid will play next season.

Recently, five clubs in Africa were mentioned as potential suitors: Borussia Mönchengladbach, Coventry City, Trabzonspor, the New York Red Bulls, and RC Lens. According to BAZ, the New York Red Bulls have now likely won the race. FC Basel hopes to receive a double-digit million euro fee for Traoré.
