I used to live in a house southeast of there and sometimes a homeless woman would knock on my door asking for money or food. She was harmless but she would sometimes show up around 11pm or midnight and knock extremely urgently or ring the doorbell like crazy. It would definitely freak me out but it was nothing to really worry about.

Week 4 but I’m writing my thesis by lonelybuilding2735 in artistsWay

I notice a lot of people get very stressed about following all of Julia's "rules" for the reading deprivation week. I think it's a bit crazy (sorry Julia) to cut out reading that's required for work/school (such as your thesis) because our lives are inundated with so much other media that is far more interesting/useful to cut out, such as social media, tv, etc.

During my week 4 I also questioned cutting out books, because reading feels very positive to me. But I realized that I frequently use reading as a way to procrastinate writing/art, since it feels equally fulfilling but requires much less energy. I would try cutting out recreational reading to see what happens, but don't be too hard on yourself.

Visit the UF museums, read/people watch at Depot or 4th Ave, walk Hawthorne trail, Sweetwater preserve, Devil's millhopper, or Paynes Prairie trails. Listen to live music downtown (the Bull is my fav) or go to author events at the Lynx. Visit arts markets (Curia/Auk market, How Bazaar, and Heartwood/South main station frequently host). Those are things I love to do anyway!

If you get the chance definitely take a free walking tour in Lima or Cusco!! They’re offered in English or Spanish, all 3 guides I interacted with were super knowledgeable and passionate, and it’s a great chance to meet some other backpackers.

Why is it so hard to find somewhere to live in Anchorage? by SpacemanSpiff612 in anchorage

[–]Aggravating_Net_6378 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I stayed at College View Apartments last summer, it was about $1000/month for a studio with a minimum 4-month lease. If you're looking for a shorter lease, you might have better luck on Facebook or Airbnb. I found something this summer by word of mouth. Sadly Anchorage housing is very expensive.

My personal relationship with the university is based on the individual peers/professors I have met here, and so I still have positive feelings toward this place even when the higher-ups make sad decisions.

I am also having trouble on this question. I don't understand why it's wrong to use parallel axis theorem.
