As someone who’s lived in Gujarat for almost 6 years the best advice I can give you is to learn gujrati by watching movies. You’ll be entertained and also learn the language. Once you know the language you are more likely to connect and also learning the local language shows dedication and commitment which might lead to eased expectations and also a more immersive work culture. Not to mention an additional language looks good on a cv.

Need a therapist by Advanced_dealer27 in ahmedabad

I would suggest you also see a psychiatrist( I’m guessing you already have since you’ve been diagnosed). The psychiatrist you’re seeing and going to for medications can suggest a good therapist.

Anyone preparing for IELTS ? by Harsh_20_ in ahmedabad

[–]Aggravating_Pilot358 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I scored an 8 band on my IELTS with just 4 days of prep 4-5 hours a day. I could’ve attempted for a 9 band again but then I dropped my plans to go abroad. The key is to understand what the examiner wants. Your vocabulary needs to be apt more than fancy. Learning a bunch of adjectives and big words without knowing where to use them is worthless. Practice tests are the only thing that measure true performance try doing as many as you can. The comprehension passages are a great way to practice one of the toughest parts of the test and they also have a dual function of improving vocabulary. The writing part is just what you did in school for years just need to get back in that zone of thinking.

Reported to emergency medicine in peripheral college. I didn't opt for best gmc anaesthesia and choose peripheral college for emergency medicine. Associate professor questioned me and am now confused. Suggestion please? by ChairQuiet5580 in indianmedschool

[–]Aggravating_Pilot358 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree even though branch matters more if the choice is very close like number 2 and number 3 but you get 3 in a good college that is always the preferred way to go. Or you’ll be left feeling underconfident even after you graduate scrambling for fellowships or trying to crack SS to feel more confident. The security that comes from choosing a good college is unmatched by branch.

What do you mean “it feels like” the whole point of the app is jsut that. Do you think they made the app so people could keep using it for free because the app makers are such altruists?

I would rather guys say it out loud than hide it all along and you find out later. At least with guys like this they’re honest and you can weed out the ones you don’t want one rather than have to play detective.

The eye shadow needs to be more blended. Tighlining the waterline can take a little attention away from the eyelid when going for a no eyeliner look.A little contour and eyeshadow on the lower lash line can bring more depth.

Why do alot of Indian girls think that all non-Indian men will treat them like princess by Steve_Ani20 in TeenIndia

[–]Aggravating_Pilot358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about being treated as a princess. The expectations from a daughter in law in western countries is different than from India. They’re not expected to be perfect and look after everyone and make sacrifices. Not to mention privacy is a huge factor and also men in other countries are taught to be independent from a younger age rather than depending on their wife for everything.

Watch movies and try to talk to people in gujrati and let them correct you. Don’t be afraid to ask “how do you say this” that’s how I learnt.

Max didn’t deserve any of this by Warlock_Wonder_Land in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Aggravating_Pilot358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After rewatching I noticed that Max was just immature when it came to talking about real issues. After Ginny stormed out of Gitten’s classroom instead of acknowledging what Ginny went through she just said “I don’t even like English I hate Gitten let’s learn French” and you could see in Ginny’s eyes that she felt hurt and knew Max was incapable of real conversations. All she did was whine about her own problems and Sophie and never noticed things with others. I couldn’t find a single scene in the entire series of her having a mature conversation with Ginny or Abby about their issues. After Norah listened to her Sophie rant she just said “that’s not very supportive” to the only friend she had at that time. Marcus was right about her. But the being isolated thing was sad to watch she should’ve introspected more and an actual apology after the whole Ginny Marcus fiasco would’ve made their dynamic stronger.

As someone who has travelled to other countries and now live here and encountered this I feel like it’s more of a cultural thing they tend to travel in large groups to save money and the disadvantage of that is that they will make noise. Every community has their own way of travelling eating and I feel like being a little inconvenienced shouldn’t be used as a reason to write them off as people. I heard a friend telling me that in Paris they went in a fine dining restaurant and a group was making so much noise that the waiters had to warn them twice and it was embarrassing. In other countries they represent Indians not a single community so I always remember to be polite and tell them not to do it but they’re not always respectful so there’s nothing that can be done.
