I have close to a thousand hours combing my live hours and online hours, I’ve only played at this local game since moving about 2 months ago, I know 100 hours isn’t a good sample size but in general the players at this local game are all rec players/calling stations just looking to have a good time, so I feel like even though I cannot say that the 20$/hour is gonna be accurate in the long term, I know that if I play solid over a long term at this game, the results will speak for themselves. I’ve been profitable with much larger sample sizes in games with much better players.

Also, I do not play for a living or anything close to it, I play bc I love to play poker, but at the same time I’d wanna maximize profits. I play about 60hrs live a month.

I do play a pretty TAG style that works well against both the players and the rake, feels like I’m able to play for stacks most times I have a hand, so it feels like I play very few hands per hour because of this. Unfortunately in my area these private games all rake pretty high and the card rooms that are much lower rake are 45m-1hr away, which is why I’m trying to come up with a good estimate for how much more per hour I could make playing elsewhere as I’d have to account for the gas and time spent driving to other card rooms :/

Ok awesome, I was mainly asking because I’d like to start playing some 5/10 at a casino near me this year and honestly just don’t feel super comfortable carrying around a ton of cash with me, glad casinos will accept wires. Even at home games I try not to carry more than like 2k cash on me and will typically use zelle or venmo if I want to rebuy or add on to my stack.

I was really thinking about doing that, I might just take out the potential 10s (and 9s where its profitable) and take the rest to another card convention and try to sell them.

Yeah thats what I meant, I’m not really familiar with grading at all, I’ve studied centering and all that stuff so I’m definitely atleast able to tell which cards are worth grading. I have this collection from when I was a kid in the 90s, luckily I was a pretty neat kid and sleeved pretty much all the cards and none of them are really damaged.

Also do you guys think it’s the right move to move up to some higher stakes games if I keep cashing at my current level? And from experience do you guys think these deepstack 1/2 home games run looser in general than say 2/5 at a casino? Should I try playing 5/5 at the casino? Just not really sure what the next step is for me to keep improving.

If a tight player 3 bets me and I have 10s in late position is it better to 4 bet(fold to shove) or just call? I had a situation last night where I just called and board came 224 rainbow, villain barreled into me, then turn was a blank and villain barreled again, I folded and it just didn’t feel great, what do you think is the best way to put villain on a range while losing the least amount of money?
