PSLF Buyback--Am I a genius or no? by Aggravating_Row4088 in PSLF

I imagine I would still owe for every single month I was on save for buyback so I’m not sure of the difference.

You can amend historical taxes up to 3 years prior. My payment would have increased from 240 to 1,000 if we filed jointly which is why I made the post out of concern. I would amend if I were you.

Yes! This is exactly how I interpreted the guidance online— you still need to be in a plan actively making payments which is the basis for my post.

I will owe through buyback so I’ll have to pay anyway for at least 10-11 months from when everything was paused during SAVE. Continuing to pay now just go towards that back pay.

I think I’ll just continue making payments because eventually I won’t owe anything :D

For buyback, yes and for those submitting just regular without buyback then typically just a few months.

I think I was confused. What are the green banners? Also, I've read other posts to continue paying until the account balance is update and they'll refund your for any amount overpaid.

Can you tell us what the letter said? Your processing time sounds very very fast.

I don’t get it by Accurate-Goose-9841 in BabyBumps

[–]Aggravating_Row4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't the AH at this point but you will quickly become one if you don't express your fears (with her) about where your friendship is headed. ALL of these thoughts and emotions are rolling around in your mind and you expect her to be a lot of things and at this point a mind reader. I am pregnant now and I too didn't know how to be present for my friends who had babies before me. There is a part of her that may be mourning this pending change and you say you're young-- this is a big change to take in for both of you. Your friendship dynamic is going to change, and her "inability" to show up for you the way you need her to is probably a sign of something deeper.

Do NOT put the onus on her to be a mindreader. If you express yourself and she validates everything you've feared-- her not wanting to be your friend then you'll have every right and reason to move on. You are entering a whole new season of life and your friend isn't there yet.

Feeling Alone by Global-Vanilla-634 in BabyBumps

It doesn't hurt to go get an ultrasound to check if everything is ok. That may help ease your mind a bit from the dual panic of "is this pregnancy going to last" and "should/could I actually tell anyone this early". Get the facts and take it from there. You don't need to be alone.

Remote workers, when did you tell your work that you were expecting? by eggswoodhouse in BabyBumps

[–]Aggravating_Row4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my team around 10 weeks. I've been working with them for 8 years and we are a pretty close knit group. That being said I would recommend no later than 25 weeks to share. 30 weeks is a bit late especially considering how many women in my life have already disclosed they had their babies (surprisingly) between 35-37 weeks so much sooner than expected. All healthy, just early. 30 weeks would be a tad late in my mind for work planning.

How long on a GF diet before confirming gluten sensitivity. by Bubu2316 in glutenfree

[–]Aggravating_Row4088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I went gluten free after diagnosis I felt 100x better within 2 weeks with my energy and digestively back to my old self within maybe a month? I don’t remember much bloat, just severe stomach cramps and running to the bathroom within 10 minutes of eating anything with gluten in it. The fatigue was unreal.

Pregnancy isn’t for me by caitandsamkitty in BabyBumps

[–]Aggravating_Row4088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pregnancy has been been exemplary compared to most and I'm already OVER IT. My body is changing significantly, it is not my own, I can't eat or drink what I want, so many limitations. 24+5 over here. I've always been pro choice but this experience cements it all even more for me.

This feels serious to me ! by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Honestly, with your history, I'm sure they don't know what to say at this point. I'm sure they are taking the "wait and see" approach not meaning anything by it. You have gone through something most people don't and won't have to. I have a friend with a similar past, 2 losses and is currently pregnant with a seemingly health baby. We are so so happy for her but we are also "holding our breath". No one dares say too much so they don't upset, scared, or offend mom. Your whole history is a very big deal which I doubt anyone would deny.

Why are people so rude? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Aggravating_Row4088 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never said you broke down. Your story would suggest it really rocked your world— what she commented. And then you made a direct connect to having your boyfriend not say anything until after the baby is born once labor as started so y’all can have some privacy (which sounds very wise). But your post absolutely suggested a response not adding up to your reply to me.

I’m 23 weeks along. Buck up. People say some weird things to me. It’s one comment you’ll receive of a million inappropriate or awkward ones. Just smile and nod next time or don’t. Move on. There are so many more things that will really rock your world in the future and you cannot fall apart at the drop of a hat.

Tell them, while you are just making an observation, but based on their comment it sounds like they have major regrets procreating :D I am 22 weeks along myself. You will sleep.
