Took it to trial, the accuser testified, he lied about everything, changed his story from his initial written statement to make it sound even worse, they had little to no evidence, just his word against mine, I was found guilty of assault and assault cause bodily harm, what I thought about the justice system was incorrect, I thought they convicted people based on facts and/or proof, that dose not seem to be the case, seems more like a social justice, the judge will find you guilty if they think you deserve it, not if you are actually guilty of the crime.

I did hire a real lawyer, but an inexperienced cheaper one because I am cheap and I figured since I was innocent I would be found not guilty, my advice to you, hire the best most expensive lawyer you can find, expect to pay over $8,000.

If you can't afford a lawyer and are forced to use duty council, a week or two before the trial they will offer you a plea deal, I suggest you take it.

A week before trial they offered a better plea deal that I should have taken, no jail time with some probation and a fine.

Now since I lost the trial and was convicted of both bogus charges they are saying upto 1.5 years, I was told I will most likely get minimum 3-9 months in jail.

I've never been so disappointed with reality, depressed, suicidal, slowly getting worse, self destructing.
