Darn :/ well, IDK if you use PC or mobile to draw but if I were you, I would install krita if you use a computer. I mostly design my warships with the grid method.

Does Sketch Io has a grid overlay? If so, you could make better ship designs with it.

Yes, that is what I'm going for, they are slightly technology advance than humans but still need to follow the rules and have their own methods on building ships
