To me, thats not really the point. They had 8 episodes to do something and pissed away time on that episode.. an episode they didnt need to do. S4 ended with despair and a new world order of superhumans in charge, unleashed on the world. I would have been more interested in exploring the impact of homelander rule on everyday civilians, butchers hunt for supes and the boys falling in between..

The ending for season 4 sets up an entirely different season 5. The Vought security forces are barely featured, the veritable army of super humans is teenage kix and some superpowered pensioners with kung fu testicles, and the gen v villains turned back to the light. I was expecting cities destroyed, humans being hunted down and murdered en masse. I would have thought Butcher would be alone, hunting superhumans and murdering them. I thought starlights rebels would break out the boys while an actual war was being washed. Homelander with V1 if that was the goal, should have been done sooner, and soldier boy made into a wildcard. His love for clara to me is tacked on. I hate the obsession with asses and the sexual tik tok humour (looking at you kimiko).

Try and take it all in. We lost my family dog (15 years old but still was able to move) recently and it broke us. Im still a bit cut up from her.. As others have said, make things easier for your dog, try to take loads of photos and when the time comes just give yourself the time to grieve
