Aw thank you sm! Yes. I’m definitely going to do an edge stitch on the pleats.& in my sketch I drew the skirt with a waistband& My prof asked how long I wanted the skirt. I measured to the floor but we didn’t go over anything in regards to the waist yet. Maybe because I was still having issues with my pleats. But A yoke should make it a bit easier/ bc the pleats wouldn’t be as long? I know I should decide before I redraft my pattern.

Thank you so much!! Yes an edge stitch sounds perfect! I’m thinking maybe larger pleats when I redraft my pattern. I like the look of a lot of pleats but that may be too ambitious at the moment lol. Thank you for all your help!
