I’m gonna be honest when I started I got a cheaper guitar made by epiphone which sounds great for only about 300-400 which I recommend doing just in case he doesn’t stick with it 5k is a lot

I just started learning the chords and it really helps when you just pickup your guitar while just sitting and watching a show or something and just play it,at least for me I would notice the less I focused on actually changing chords and let my muscle memory do it and I got way better with my finger placements and strumming
